We come from the land of the ice and snow, / From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow. / The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands, / To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming! / (Robert Plant)
Macro photograph taken from a Paperbark tree. This capture depicts and abstract painting with waves crashing on rocks. Can you see the hull of the old clipper ship through the fog, dangerously close to the rocks? / / /
This is a shot of the water at night as we were leaving the Seattle Ferry terminal. I like the red that was captured from the light in this shot.
‘The ground was cold and hard and the wind roared outside, it was deafening. I edged towards the entrance to the cave in the cliff-face. I just had to have a look outside as the Hurricane approached. The view from here took away my breath…...I could barely make out the sail on a yacht that was being helplessly tossed towards the rocks…...........” Another…....you guessed it…..macro photograph from an Australian Melaleuca tree.
“The Cottage on the beach was everything I had hoped for. Isolated, miles of coastline and the most beautiful white beach. I Ioved walking on the beach at night, especially when the moon is out. Silvery shadows danced on the crashing waves as if inviting me to join in their careless abandon. I wandered along the brightly lit beach in the moonlight, pondering about life, love and what the future holds for me. I felt the warm water lapping at my feet while gazing up at the stars. An easy thing to become entranced within the hidden soul of the universe. A shooting star burst across the nightsky…...perhaps a wish…..” / Macro photograph taken from a rock.
Abstract Rock Art of waves splashing on the rocks by the sea. / Macro photograph.
Oil on canvas. Size 9”1/2×11”1/2 / “Conch in the Sea” was featured in the group: Seashells.
“The strong tides swept the waves over the rocks. It was my only way back to the main beach and the tide was coming in. My thoughts were elsewhere as I needed to clear my head, sorting out how I had gotten to this point in my life. I should’ve paid attention while going on my walk…...and now there was no-where to go…....” Macro photograph taken from the bark of an Australian Eucalyptus tree.
