Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

I’ve been sitting on this design for a while now. I roughed up this sketch initially to get it out of my head, with the plan to work on it further and create a more elaborate vector piece. As yet, I haven’t gotten around to working on it further, but I was quite happy with how the sketch turned out, so I decided to share it. If I can find the energy and inspiration, I may complete the piece, but until then I hope you enjoy this one!

Sometimes, relationships and love just doesn’t make sense. Especially when you are thrown back into the pool after a long time in a relationship. You sometimes doubt if the right person will ever come along who will love you for you and understand your quirks. They will… on both fronts.
