Taken from my blog: I was going through some paintings in my studio and stumbled upon this one that I had done some time ago. I had initially put it aside calling it a “WIP” and had fully intended to go back and do more work on it but never did. I’d shown it as a WIP to some arteeeest friends who had liked it very much “as is” and then just rolled it up and forgot about it. It’s huge…not exactly sure off hand how large but it’s on unstretched canvas….I’d say about 4ft X 5ft. What this piece represents is (and I remember painting it during one of those dry spiritual periods when I was trying desperately to pray but just couldn’t find the words) our prayers, which are sometimes nothing more than moans and groans….but are interpreted for us by the Holy Spirit giving us a direct and uninterrupted line to our Father. This happens often during our times of spiritual emptiness when we are reaching out to God and the words just don’t come. For those of you who are Christians, you will know this scripture from the Bible: Romans 8:26 (New International Version) “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Anyway, when I pulled the painting out this morning, I decided that just as Jesus said on the cross, “it is finished”.....and would like to share it with you all. Never stop talking to God, He always hears….even the moans and groans! Be Blessed. /

Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. and Hebrews 3:12 & 13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. /

A fanciful depiction of the psyche of a Replicant, which has the form of a human, yet the soul of blasphemous creation, a Golem, a Frankenstein, a tormented being, anxious and deranged, knowing its time is short and its end inevitable. The spider patterning exudes the replicant’s un-empathic nature, the thing that separates them from humans. If you haven’t, check out Philip K. Dick’s Novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. It is brilliant. See also:

I saw this flower in my garden and the shadow of the cross lay across it. It was like a sign to me and I got the picture before the sun changed positions and the shadow disappeared. I did not put the shadow there, I just took the picture. I used Photoshop Fractilius and Micrografx to accomplish the finished work. I did not put the shadow there, I just took the picture. 1Co 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. A church is not made up of bricks and stones. It is made up of all the people who go there. The people are the lifeblood and purpose of the gathering place we call “My Church”. I was a member of this wonderful church in Orange, California called Orange Villa Bible Church. But we moved away from there and now we are seeking a new one. The new church we attend will have to go a long way to live up to the standards of this little church in Orange, California. The people and the pastor and his family made this the greatest church we have ever attended. They teach the word of God and are not afraid to stand up for the truth. The pastor always gave messages that touched the heart and soul when he shared his inspiration and teachings from the pulpit or in any personal capacity. We had wonderful family gatherings where everyone brought a dish, we played games, baseball, horse shoes, and much more. The whole atmosphere of the church is love and caring for one another and the love of Jesus Christ. I did this art as a composite to represent the whole church as I see it. I combined a picture of the church, the pastor and many of the members. I used overlays and special editing with Photoshop CS3 and Micrografx to create the finished work. Vision, Epiphany Theophany, Revelation, Apocalypse—call it what you will, religions and their devotees have thrived on them over the centuries. In fact, without them, many religions and occult movements would not exist: Mormonism, Islam, Scientology, Hare Krishna, . .. . An interpretation of a vision.

Isa 14:12: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! / Isa 14:13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: / Isa 14:14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 2Co 11:14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. / 2Co 11:15: Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. Angel: a word signifying, both in the Hebrew and Greek, a “messenger,” and hence employed to denote any agent God sends forth to execute his purposes. It is used of an ordinary messenger (Job 1:14; 1Sa 11:3; Lu 7:24; 9:52), of prophets (Isa 42:19; Hag 1:13), of priests (Mal 2:7), and ministers of the New Testament (Re 1:20). It is also applied to such impersonal agents as the pestilence (2Sa / 24:16-17; 2Ki 19:35), the wind (Ps 104:4). But its distinctive application is to certain heavenly intelligences whom God employs in carrying on his government of the world. The name does not denote their nature but their office as messengers. The appearances to Abraham at Mamre (Ge 18:2,22. Comp. Ge 19:1), to Jacob at Peniel (Ge 32:24,30), to Joshua at Gilgal (Jos 5:13,15), of the Angel of the Lord, were doubtless manifestations of the Divine presence, “foreshadowings of the incarnation,” revelations before the “fulness of the time” of the Son of God. The existence and orders of angelic beings can only be discovered from the Scriptures. Although the Bible does not treat of this subject specially, yet there are numerous incidental details that furnish us with ample information. Their personal existence is plainly implied in such passages as Ge 16:7,10-11; Jg 13:1-21; Mt 28:2-5; Heb 1:4, etc. These superior beings are very numerous. “Thousand thousands,” etc. (Da 7:10; Mt 26:53; Lu 2:13; Heb 12:22-23). They are also spoken of as of different ranks in dignity and power (Zec 1:9,11; Da 10:13; 12:1; 1Th 4:16; Jude 1:9; Eph 1:21; Col 1:16). As to their nature, they are spirits (Heb 1:14), like the soul of man, but not incorporeal. Such expressions as “like the angels” (Lu 20:36), and the fact that whenever angels appeared to man it was always in a human form (Ge 18:2; 19:1,10; Lu 24:4; Ac 1:10), and the titles that are applied to them (“sons of God,” Job 1:6; 38:7; Da 3:25; comp. Da 3:28) and to men (Lu 3:38), seem all to indicate some resemblance between them and the human race. Imperfection is ascribed to them as creatures (Job 4:18; Mt 24:36; 1Pe 1:12). As finite creatures they may fall under temptation; and accordingly we read of “fallen angels.” Of the cause and manner of their “fall” we are wholly ignorant. We know only that “they left their first estate” (Mt 25:41; Re 12:7,9), and that they are “reserved unto / judgement” (2Pe 2:4). When the manna is called “angels’ food,” this is merely to denote its excellence (Ps 78:25). Angels never die (Lu 20:36). They are possessed of superhuman intelligence and power (Mr 13:32; 2Th 1:7; Ps 103:20). They are called “holy” (Lu 9:26), “elect” (1Ti 5:21). The redeemed in glory are “like unto the angels” (Lu 20:36). They are not to be worshipped (Col 2:18; Re 19:10). Their functions are manifold. (a) In the widest sense they are agents of God’s providence (Ex 12:23; Ps 104:4; Heb 11:28; 1Co 10:10; 2Sa 24:16; 1Ch 21:16; 2Ki 19:35; Ac 12:23). (b) They are specially God’s agents in carrying on his great work of redemption. There is no notice of angelic appearances to man till after the call of Abraham. From that time onward there are frequent references to their ministry on earth (Gen 18; 19; Ge 24:7,40; 28:12; 32:1). They appear to rebuke idolatry (Jg 2:1-4), to call Gideon (Jg 6:11-12), and to consecrate Samson (Jg 13:3). In the days of the prophets, from Samuel downward, the angels appear only in / their behalf (1Ki 19:5; 2Ki 6:17; Zech 1-6; Da 4:13,23; 10:10,13,20-21). The Incarnation introduces a new era in the ministrations of angels. They come with their Lord to earth to do him service while here. They predict his advent (Mt 1:20; Lu 1:26-38), minister to him after his temptation and agony (Mt 4:11; Lu 22:43), and declare his resurrection and ascension (Mt 28:2-8; Joh 20:12-13; Ac 1:10-11). They are now ministering spirits to the people of God (Heb 1:14; Ps 34:7; 91:11; Mt 18:10; Ac 5:19; 8:26; 10:3; 12:7; 27:23). They rejoice over a penitent sinner (Lu 15:10). They bear the souls of the redeemed to paradise (Lu 16:22); and they will be the ministers of judgement hereafter on the great day (Mt 13:39,41,49; 16:27; 24:31). The passages (Ps 34:7; Mt 18:10) usually referred to in support of the idea that every individual has a particular guardian angel have no such meaning. They merely indicate that God employs the ministry of angels to deliver his people from affliction and danger, and that the angels do not think it below their dignity to minister even to children and to the least among Christ’s disciples. The “angel of his presence” (Isa 63:9. Comp. Ex 23:20-21; 32:34; 33:2; Nu 20:16) is probably rightly interpreted of the Messiah as the guide of his people. Others have supposed the expression to refer to Gabriel (Lu 1:19). Original / Hand Painted / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches ( I CONDEMN THE WAY THE NAZIS MISUSED THIS 1000’S OF YEARS OLD HOLY SYMBOL ) • The Nava Graha Theory • Hindus and many other religions worldwide, since ancient times, believe that the Nava Grahas (The Nine Celestial Houses) influence man to a great extent. The nine houses being, The Sun in the centre, (Then clockwise from top) Venus, Moon, Mars, Ketu, Saturn, Rahu, Jupiter and The Mercury. Each one of the nine houses have their own distinct Color palettes, Gems, Metals, Foods (Grains), Moods, Abilities, Attributes, Positive and/or Negative influence on the Earth and subsequently the life on earth which includes us! • Hindus, Budhists and many religions, since ancient times have also recognised the power of the Holy symbol of Swastika and have worshipped it as a symbol of an auspicious beginning as well as in many other forms…. My interpretation of as to how the symbol of Swastika came into being is, by joining each house , with straight lines ( as shown in this painting). ( After speaking with many learned people and scouring the internet etc., I’m yet to find a reference to this theory anywhere, so I guess, it’s my own interpretation as an artist.) Or is it my discovery through my art, that the swastika, which is a 1000’s of years of old symbol, was originally formed from the Navgrahas? This question remains…unsolved, yet… Although…I CONDEMN THE WAY THE NAZIS MISUSED THIS 1000’S OF YEARS OLD HOLY SYMBOL…

I was working with a combination of an image I got several years ago from a newspaper story about the shroud of Turin. The original image was very poor and I had to recreate the face using the newspaper image as a model. Then I worked with I worked with Micrografx, Photoshop and Apophysis to create the finished work. I experimented a little and got several works that I really like. I hope you enjoy them. Although we do not know what Christ really looked like because the Hebrew people did not draw or paint images of anyone because it was against their religion, we do have ideas we have formed based upon legend and theories that have been passed down through time and have become a generally accepted image that comes to mind when we think of Christ. I will be posting several that are part of this series and they are all enspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the second of nine in the series. What I was amazed by is the same face looks so different when using a different overlay. It is so much like the many faces of God that we have come to know. Ge 1:20 / ¶ And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving / creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the / open firmament of heaven. Now…I am at peace and realize that loving God is my purpose in life…and reflecting His light in my life is the greatest thing I can ever do. When we put our eyes upon Christ, we find fear being washed away. We find He does not always keep us from the storm, but carries us safely through it. (Isa 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.) He is doing a mighty work in us that we do not fully understand. We find that that He gives us a peace that goes beyond understanding. (Php 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.) 1Jo 1:1:¶ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; / 1Jo 1:2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) / 1Jo 1:3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. / 1Jo 1:4: And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. / 1Jo 1:5: ¶ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. When we take our eyes off our problems and give our hearts to Christ, we give Him our problems and put Him in charge of solving them for us, He has the power to give us peace, to deal with our problems and make our lives complete. (Lu 1:78: Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, / Lu 1:79: To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.) / ___ This work was created using a photograph of my granddaughter Kortney and a photograph of a statue of Christ I took seveal years ago at the Huntington Library in California. I layered the images using PS_CS3. Then I enhanced the image using Paintshop Pro. Next, I further edited and enhanced the work with PS_CS3 and Micrographx to produce the finished product. I will be posting several that are part of this series and they are all inspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the fifth of nine in the series. Jesus Christ the Messiah never committed a sin or a crime in thought, word or deed. Nevertheless, they crucified Him. Scripture tells us they were blinded for the sake of the Gentiles. That had they not crucified Him, we would not have His righteousness by which we might escape the punishment for our sins. He willingly took our sins upon Himself…and gave us His righteousness to wear as a cloak, a wedding garment which cleanses us and imputes His righteousness upon us when we accept it as a free gift…the greatest gift of all, eternal life. Mt 27:35: And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Corinthians 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. / / Col 1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: / Col 1:14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: / / Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Pe 2:21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: / 1Pe 2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: / 1Pe 2:23: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: / 1Pe 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
