  • Oil, acrylic and pastel on canvas 2005 / 1.7×1.3 metres portrait of a nude couple making love

  • Taken at Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario Canada on Monday June 2nd/08. Leaning over the docks I noticed this school of minnows that kept dispersing and rejoining in intricate patterns in the water. My husband did not think I should upload this to RB but I find it an interesting abstract of the underwater world. • On a visit to the Jardin Botanique in Montreal I was captivated by the Chinese Garden. Various ponds and streams had huge floating islands of lily pads. But it was not until I rested that I discovered these two lily pads and the reflections, just over the side of the bench I was sitting on. Taken in macro mode. • Choice II is for those who love the light side of the spectrum. It takes on such a different feeling than the much darker original, The Choice / Love should never be a choice. While man attempts to recreate his universe through science, emulating God; at the core, each of us struggles with daily choices that eclipse logic. Are choices of the heart logical or divinely inspired, impetuous or practical, or do these rather define constraints of the mind? Should the heart always win over thought process, or does one inform the other? By our divine nature, women have a choice, to follow our heart, head, will, or spirit. Wrong or right, we exercise it. I’m listening… listening to the dreams. Digital Fine Art, influenced by the Romantic “Pre-Raphaelite” and Arts and Crafts styles. F.A. Moore, June 17, 2009. • For Rob. As of 11.23.09, 1361 views, 31 favorites, and 94 comments Towards the end of the novel, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera writes: “And therein lies the whole of man’s plight. Human time does not turn in a circle; it runs ahead in a straight line. That is why man cannot be happy: happiness is the longing for repetition.” I wondered then when I first read the novel—some 20 years ago, and I wonder today about the relationship(s) (probable and hypothetical) between happiness and repetition. • This a shot of abstract realism of water reflections in the seashore… as seen from a very close up perspective. I really love it… it has a lot of strength!!!! Cangrejos Beach, San Juan, Puerto Rico /

  • Close-up cropped sections of this work to showcase detail: This is a mixed media piece; created using a watercolor painting that I digitally altered with layers and layers of various colors then added enhancements with GIMP brushes I made myself. The original painting as well as this altered image are/were inspired by growing up in an area rich in wildlife. Most of my childhood was spent outdoors exploring what Mother Nature has to offer. Emotions rushed through me as I finished this piece and I kinda got a little teary! Let’s just say it moved me. You see, I was about to trash the watercolor! It was an experiment in watercolor techniques….just playing around while learning. I didn’t really expect it to be anything more. This morning while clearing out some stuff in the studio I happened upon it, setting there in a stack of the same sort of experimental paintings and this little voice nagged at me to do something MORE with it…....and so this is the result. :) VIEW IT LARGE! This art work has been FEATURED in “The Dreaming Tree” group! :)

  • This artwork has been FEATURED in the “Images & Ideas” group. :) One of several music-themed pieces I’ve been working on for the past few days. This is a digital piece using my 1922 sheet music, my photo of a piano and the silhouette came from Wikipedia Commons. I altered and enhanced the original silhouette digitally for this piece. Music has always been a big part of my life, so I thought it was time to bring some of my musical influences into my art work. More of my music themed art works: ((Most any of my musical themed works have compatible color palettes and can be hung in pairs or groups.)) “The Fiddlers” / “My Guitar Guy” / “Scales & Arpeggios” / “Saturday Night Jam” / “Song of The South” / “Encore! Encore!” /

  • BEST VIEWED LARGE. :) One in my musical themed series I’ve been working on this past week. Inspired by the music in my life. I grew up in a musical family and get-togethers and/or holidays were often spent singing in the living room with various family members playing instruments. I’m sure the neighbors enjoyed it as well. :) Here’s how it looks matted & framed: / Also available printed on a T-shirt! What a great gift for the jazz fan! :)
