My origami calendar / / Ever since I saw mobii’s Origami Penguin Tee shirt, I’ve wanted to give it a go myself. The problem was I was too busy at the time, and I could not think of a creative scenario for it. I finally thought of one, and started folding from a 7×7mm piece of paper using tweezers, but by the time I was finished, I realized it was too tiny to create the scenario I wanted :P. I’m going to do bigger one later. I’ve decided to show this one anyways because I think it’s cute. It’s just taken in my hand hand; nothing new, but in black and white the lines in my hand looks like a snowstorm Taken with an Olympus FE-340. For a better idea of scale: / and here is the bigger one:

Florida is the biggest producer of saw palmetto. Small patches can be found from the southeast coastline of South Carolina and southeastern Georgia to southern Mississippi. But it does not grow naturally in Texas, Mexico, or the Caribbean. It grows in every Florida county, but much of its production centers in South Florida. The Associated Press reported on recent saw palmetto developments in Florida in an article extracted here. informations from the internet. _ In 1994 an important entrant joined this growing field. It’s called the Saw Palmetto Berries Co-op of Florida, Inc. Headed by CEO Gregory P. Zaino, this company can harvest more than 3 millions pounds of berries annually. Based in Naples, Florida, Mr. Zaino can be reached at (239) 775-1243. The Naples Daily News had a two-page cover story in its August 25, 1996, issue about Mr. Zaino and his operation. These magnificent Royal Palms, some towering at 75 feet, give the City of Palms its nickname. The fun and variety of tropical gardening is one of many great reasons to enjoy living in the Fort Myers area. Find listed some of the palms you will come across in Fort Myers here below. When it was summer, earlier this year, friends and I decided a day at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens was a necessary way to spend some time in the warmth. This was one of the resulting shots I took that day. After playing around with colour altering (my favourite thing at the moment), it came up looking like a tropical dreamscape, far from what we can normally get in Melbourne. Slightly cropped and major alteration of colour. Featured in Australian Contemporary Photography Canon SX100IS MCN: C184C-D5CEF-E1E64
