Abstract landscape painting Wall Art

1501 creative works found

  • Contemporary painting of Koi reflection in strong rich blues

  • The original art is painted acrylic on stretched canvas and is 30” x 24” The original has now sold but other work can be found / on my own website Arts-Fine.co.uk

  • This is actually an image of a painted wall (blue) and a board (red) that was nailed to the wall. This was originally shot horizontally but I knew that by rotating it 90 degrees, it would give the effect of earth and sky with the cracked paint acting as clouds. Others see it as a beach with the crack acting as a crashing wave. That’s the great thing about art, we can interpret and appreciate it from our own unique, and equally valid, perspectives. This was taken in an abandoned complex. Other images from this location can be seen here.

  • The Light / The Light / Do you see the light? / Squint — squint some more. Ahh! Yes, I see it now / Finally! / It is so bright. / Like liquid flames dancing in my head / Its long elegant fingers are beckoning me to come to it / To come closer still Should I go to it? / I am afraid. / Should I bathe my soul in its purity? Do not be afraid. / Do not run from it. / Do not hesitate. / Do not draw back from it. / Go to it now. / Your only chance to bask in its warmth / Dance it its glorious ecstasy / And cleanse your soul / Just like I did, a long time ago / Paul Alleyne 12/08/07 ” Using Photoshop CS2, I merged 5 digital photo images, partially edited then cropped and positioned each image alongside or on top of another image to form this one surrealist image, which along with the written words representing renewal of spirit, with hope for the future.”

  • They say change is coming! It comes / Like a thief in the darkest of nights / Or, a hurricane whenever it pleases; / knocking you down, / creating fear in your heart / and doubt in your mind The only change I see / is what’s in my hands / And, I can’t buy bread with it anymore. What change? !! / A combination of 3 digital images merged and edited to create a surreal atmospheric event. Also supports the poem written before the image was created.

  • I wanted to be out and as soon as I was I wanted to be in. The air was oppressive and still with silent heat and heavy glances and eyes that looked away to the hills, as mine did. There was a sinking white ball of light that is called the sun behind the gray hillside and the flour dusted buildings of the city. I turn and see tree bark glowing in the shadow and behind it a dozen people ducking and jolting along the path. Are the faces meant to be remembered or forgotten or are we all the same. Syrup of souls flowing into one another. / I reach the top and realize it isn’t a top at all. Looking down I feel the sharp shift of space grind to a halt for a second with my brain capturing one second of thick emotion to be cast off the hill yet remembered later. / Then gone and it is a day only a day only a night only a second only an eternity. Not lost, not forgotten, simply being here and now. Forgetting the future. / Late Afternoon is 15”x20” acrylic on paper
