On the Watchtower / (The Theosophist, january 1968, p. 244) The Divine Wisdom is in everything – in the atom, in the electron, in the tree, in the animal, in the human being, in all these as well as in the whole, in their two aspects of being and becoming. Everything in Nature, every species, every substance, every individuality, has a certain uniqueness, and in that uniqueness is the very being of the thing, which makes it that thing and not any other thing. (p. 542) In the Bhagavad Gita , Shri Krishna says: “Having pervaded this whole universe with a fragment of Myself, I remain.” That is to say, His nature is not exhausted by entering into the various forms of manifestation. That which is able to enter into things yet transcend them must necessarily be abstract. But what is abstract to us need not be unreal. It may be more real than the concrete things we are able to perceive and contact. The Spirit is that which fills the consciousness, whereas matter is only touched by the latter. A vital difference between what we call Matter and what we call Spirit lies in the fact that every element of matter merely brushes the consciousness, whereas when we experience the nature of Spirit in any of its manifestations, it has the quality of filling and pervading the consciousness. (p. 543) ~ Nilakantan Sri Ram

I was out and about today on the Red Bubble Prowl…and came across Mel Brackstones Portfolio . Thru some conversation with her and some suggestions…I redid one of my pics RAW The suggestion was to make it more abstract and to bring out some more detail in the eye. I love the results, and thank-you so much Mel for the conversation!!

Fractal art. This fractal was inspired by the wonderful and always awesome clarkey. Jan was trying to help a fellow artist find her spark of inspiration. Inspiration comes in all different forms and wondrous ways. This fractal made me think of why do we create? The answer was simple. For the love of what we do. Not only did this fractal have the answer to my question but it also has Jan’s influence at the very heart of the art work. Inspiration is a wonderful thing, but it is even more joyous when it comes from someone we know and admire. Thank you so much Jan!! Please stop by Jan’s gallery and have yourself a grand time as you stroll through her wonderful works. :-) / © Dave Moilanen

I have traveled far and beyond all you know. / I have felt that which could not be felt. / I have seen that which is most hidden. / I have touched that which is forbidden. Few have seen what I seen. / Fewer still ever know. I have seen holes in the fabric of the Universe. / I have felt time frozen and all identity lost. / I knew not who am I, where or what am I, and yet I was. / I was a thought, a light, a spark, a vision. I was the Thing inside my vision. I was the very word that tried to describe it. I was lost and I have found myself. Words cannot describe it. / So I cannot. But I WAS THERE! I can swear it. / And yes, I can go there again. / Anytime! Soon…
Mixed media composition; my watercolor painting altered and enhanced in GIMP. Inspired by wandering through the woods, a wonderful place to go for artistic ideas and inspiration. :)) BEST VIEWED LARGE.
