  • THIS SHOT STARTED OUT AS A DIGITAL PHOTO OF THE MOON AND THE PLANET JUPITER. OBVIOUSLY, IT DIDN’T STAY THAT WAY LONG, ALTHOUGH I DID SAVE THE ORIGINAL. ANYWAY, I WENT TO ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 2.0 AND STARTED PLAYING WITH DIFFERENT FILTERS. AFTER I GOT TO THE POINT THAT I LIKED THE WAY THINGS WERE TURNING OUT, I ADDED A DIGITAL PHOTO OF THE MOON AND LOTS OF LENS FLAIRS TO GIVE THE EFFECT OF STARS. I HAVE FOUND THAT THE EASIEST WAY TO ADD STARS IS TO INSERT LENS FLAIRS ON A SMALL SCALE AND THEN CLONE EACH ONE SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL YOU END UP WITH NOTHING AND YOU HAVE TO ADD ANOTHER LENS FLAIR AND KEEP CLONING IT AGAIN, OVER AND OVER. THIS COULD VERY EASILY BE A PART OF OUR UNIVERSE THAT NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN, BUT THEN AGAIN, IT IS MORE LIKELY A PART OF “VISIONS IN MY HEAD”. THINGS LIKE THIS SHOT, MAKE ME WANT TO KEEP ON CHANGING DIGITAL IMAGES INTO SOMETHING MORE ABSTRACT. THE MORE I PLAY WITH THE DIGITAL DARKROOM, THE MORE I LIKE DOING THIS TYPE OF IMAGE.

  • This incredibly unattractive critter was once a celebrated butler to a family living in the remote areas of Cocowa. Unfortunately due to the global financial crisis the family had to cut back on luxuries, like the butler. He can now be seen wondering aimlessly around suburban backstreets.

  • Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

  • A royal family is the extended family of a monarch. Generally, the head of a royal family is a king or queen regnant. The term “imperial family” more appropriately describes the extended family of an emperor or empress regnant, while the terms “ducal family”, “grand ducal family” or “princely family” are more appropriate in reference to the relatives of a reigning duke, grand duke, or prince. It is also considered proper in some circles to refer to the extended relations of a deposed monarch and his or her descendants as a royal family.

  • This is part of a series of photos called Light Play. / They were created by photographing a setting Sun reflection on water in a pool. / I used a very fast shutter speed, ~ 1/4000 to 1/8000 sec., and a zoom onto the reflected Sun.
