I took this photo of a birch tree with a knot in it that looks like an eye. When I cropped then mirrored the image, and put them together, this is what resulted. There are two separate faces- one in each tree, facing one another, but when you view the picture as a whole, there’s another face- looking forward, composed of both eyes and a heart in the center that doubles as a mouth and a nose. At least that’s how I see it. Hence the title: Natural Love.
This is a TTV image of a Willow tree in the Japanese Garden in Portland, Oregon. This was taken using my 35mm digital camera through the view finder of my antique Argus 75 medium format camera. It has been enhanced in Photoshop to give it that “wispy” quality.

While this is a macro of a tree trunk in all its armoured glory, I like to see it as an aerial view over the Land Of Tipi, as the sun sets and casts long shadows across the land! Taken at Brisbane’s Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens.

Untouched photographs of reflections in the wheelbarrow full of water in my garden…......... we’ve had a lot of rain lately. Best viewed LARGE
There was an ice storm a few weeks ago that covered all the trees in icy rain drops. The next day the pine tree in my backyard looked magical when the sun light it the drops… Shot in tungsten with white balance adjustments in Lightroom. Enjoy!
I surrender to green glow. I fall into the grace of foliage that grows with sweating hands and naked limbs that bend with storms and fears and regrets and pull themselves back to the sun and continue to seek solutions from light and the drizzle of summer rains and the sound of whispering time brushing against green leaves. Always waiting for nothing and everything without expectation. Living in Trees is acrylic on canvas 36”x48”
A 40cm x 40cm acrylic painting on canvas of maple leaves. It was raining here one day so I grabbed my camera and went and took some photos of the glistening Japanese Maple leaves in our garden. I decided to paint them on a canvas painted black to show off their colours and add contrast and was very pleased with the outcome. Maple Leaves See the leaves on the maple tree / The rain has gone, they blow wild and free… / Sparkling raindrops settle and gleam / A delightful show that must be seen!
