I saw this flower in my garden and the shadow of the cross lay across it. It was like a sign to me and I got the picture before the sun changed positions and the shadow disappeared. I did not put the shadow there, I just took the picture. I used Photoshop Fractilius and Micrografx to accomplish the finished work. I did not put the shadow there, I just took the picture. 1Co 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. steve like this one (bodymechanic). I will hang it in the next Gallery 26 show. It’s very textured, layered, and it has sparkles.

Mt 27:35: And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Corinthians 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. / / Col 1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: / Col 1:14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: / / Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Pe 2:21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: / 1Pe 2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: / 1Pe 2:23: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: / 1Pe 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I was working with a combination of an image I got several years ago from a newspaper story about the shroud of Turin. The original image was very poor and I had to recreate the face using the newspaper image as a model. Then I worked with I worked with Micrografx, Photoshop, Photomatrix and Apophysis to create the finished work. I experimented a little and got several works that I really like. I hope you enjoy them. Although we do not know what Christ really looked like because the Hebrew people did not draw or paint images of anyone because it was against their religion, we do have ideas we have formed based upon legend and theories that have been passed down through time and have become a generally accepted image that comes to mind when we think of Christ. This series is inspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the fifth of nine in the series. Jesus Christ the Messiah never committed a sin or a crime in thought, word or deed. Nevertheless, they crucified Him. Scripture tells us they were blinded for the sake of the Gentiles. That had they not crucified Him, we would not have His righteousness by which we might escape the punishment for our sins. He willingly took our sins upon Himself…and gave us His righteousness to wear as a cloak, a wedding garment which cleanses us and imputes His righteousness upon us when we accept it as a free gift…the greatest gift of all, eternal life. thoughts, feelings, knowing-it’s a synapses of awareness. You get little gems along the grapevine and they are gold. alternatively, Steve (bodymechanic) says this reminds him of pyjamas. Obviously has a relaxing effect!

I realize many will not like the glossy look to this, but it just seemed to turn out that way. It does have many meanings incorporated into this. One is the Easter season….thus the cross and the red stain…in the corner. The Son light in the other corner…..and the heart with in a heart. His heart is with in mine, and mine with in His. I guess the egg…..is part of Easter, although I don’t know…..why. And don’t really prefer to use that as part of a Christian expression of my faith. But thought maybe just this once, it would work out OK. / And, forgot to save this….and got stuck with the frame….with I didn’t like in the end…. Oh well… I will put it up…..anyway..in case it does mean some thing…..to some one… :) Happy Ressurection Day!.....
