  • Acrylic on framed canvas. This is my daughter Sarah depicted as a Celtic Princess. Considering that her name means Princess I thought I would show her just how beautiful she really is to me. She’s always so down on herself and thinks that she’s not very pretty. This is to show her that she’s wrong. Sarah was recently diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. She also fell off a horse a few months ago and had a bruised brain and has suffered from memory loss ever since. After all these things happening I really wanted to do something really special for her to show how much I love her.

  • Based on Celtic art designs. Also available on a tee.

  • oil on canvas – 2×3 feet – songs… like a healing breeze IONA , my all time favorite band, is from scotland/UK. they are considered what would be prog celtic rock. much of their music is very etheral at first but leads into incredibly powerful movements. IONA’s core members are world-class musicans. david bainbridge and troy donockley are amazing artists. and lead singer joanne hogg’s voice can easily be described as pristeen. they have also produced what is my “desert island” cd (as in – if you could only take one…) it’s called open sky . i’ve probably listened to it 200 times. this painting is not an abstraction of the CD cover per se, but it is inspired by it and the songs themselves… Open Sky Rev. 22:2 There’s a tree in my garden / Tall and dark with countless leaves / And it whispers in the air / And it dances in the breeze / And it sways in the storm / But its hold is strong And like the hope / That’s come my way / And turns me round / To face the sky / The rhythm of this world / The gift of life / The essence that can never die By a river crystal bright / There’s a tree where waters flow / Leaves that fall for our healing / Scattered on the world below / Where angels dance / And the people sing… a song of hope that’s come my way

  • Abstract fractal design with Celtic knot patterns. / Designer: Thea Walstra / CanDuCreations /

  • I’ve been learning how to draw celtic knots for about 6 months now and, with the help of a graphics tablet, can now get them on the bubble. The knots are designed on paper and then traced into Photoshop and given some life. / Hopefully this is one of a series…. / I wanted them to go onto my family tree – my great grandparents were Irish on one side and Scottish on the other.

  • Celtic Knotwork enhanced with Photoshop. / If anyone wants them to be uploaded individually please let me know…. These knots are standard but I’ve incorporated them into my own knotwork designs. However, they’re damn tricky to get into Photoshop. The more intricate they get, the more frustrating they get!

  • A fractal created in Tierazon, edited in PhotoImpact. / Also available on a tee.

((Details: Image created in photoshop, abstract/visionary/surreal/digital art tshirt design by Leah McNeir, 2009. This design features the silhouette of an acoustic guitar with a treble clef emblazoned on the guitar body, a raven clasping a musical note, and our inner metronome- the human heart, branching out like a Celtic Tree of Life’s limbs & roots, with color details of veins as in a circulatory system resonating the rhythm of life. )) / Thank you to all who voted in the MUSIC MACHINES challenge held by Redbubble and DEMO! ‘Rhythms of the Heart’ has come in 3rd place in the public voting portion of this challenge!
