This is a macro that I took today of a flower in a pot plant which I was given. I just liked the vivid colour, the abstract quality and that this image is totally untouched and 100% natural! Ohh, and take the time to view it larger to see the tiny dew drops on the petal :o)
No 10 of a series studying colour and motion. / Inspiration and model: Mother Nature, of course. Untouched photograph, effect achieved ‘in-camera’. / Best viewed LARGE

Some mistakes are for keeps. Everything was right except the focus. / Low Sun, nice shadows, highlights, lines colors and lighting. / I’m not sure what happened here. I could guess, but it doesn’t matter. I am very happy with the result. It’s a keeper! I find it hard to not keep staring at it.
Twinkling rays of setting sun / Come sifting through the trees / To dance upon the forest floor / And sparkle with the breeze Abstract photography of a northeast Georgia sunset sifting through the forest. These abstracts are formed through Camera Painting rather than editing in PS, etc. I get the effects with slight movements of the camera during a slow shutter speed. This one was created with a zig-zag movement after several tries … not an easy technique. 697 views as of Nov. ‘09 Olympus E-3, Zuiko 14-54 mm f/2.8-3.5 Also see the close up abstract image Winter Forest Sunset of the same scene. / Copyright © Richard G. Winner of the Experimental Orange Competition 14 Feb 2009 :):) Featured in the European Everyday Group . I was experimenting with my new Compact Digital, trying to capture a light trail as my train came into the station. It took a few tries but I was pretty happy with this result. Camera: Sony Cybershot on Fireworks mode, no flash. / Location: London
If you couldn’t tell I like bubbles and water… I was playing around with fizzy water the other day in a tiny cup and I got this weird effect with the water. The little portion in the corner blurred mysteriously or exploded. I thought it looked cool though. I placed blue metallic paper under the glass and used my sigma 105mm macro lens and flash. Enjoy!

A beach somewhere in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. A sunset like I have not seen in years. This long exposure captures the movement of the sea and sky blending together seamlessly through the colours of the sunset. If the light had lasted I could have stayed there for the rest of my life.
Fall’s splendor has arrived, turning this stand of oaks into a riot of color. The best part is that these magnificent mature oaks grow very close to my own back yard. There’s no place like home! Slow shutter speed created this impression of Fall.
