  • Abstract mixed medium painting; acrylic and watercolor on paper with inked Chinese character for “sky”. Original 8. 5×11”. Created after a particularly present and powerful yoga practice from which I promptly began to menstruate. At the moment it felt to me the most profound painting I had so far produced. I value the brief process of producing small paintings and collages. They are finely “Now”. It’s complete. I’m fulfilled. I move on. It felt incredible to create directly from my own dynamic moment; blood and opened cellular energy; the feeling that my attained balance and cleanly spinning connection was becoming unhinged by the heat and hunger of the incoming biological process. My first true landscape as a painter, an inner landscape composed of ancient alchemical symbols, which came without intention. It evolved just from the physical act of my hand moving the brush, the inner events, the intense energy generated.

  • Crucifixion of Christ. / Photographed in cemetery through glass case with cloud reflections from sky. All proceeds from the sales of this photograph will be donated to the philadelphia mission

  • Part of my projection shoot series. It tells a story.

  • “Root or Branch v 05” – abstract imagery inspired by nature. / Original Photography by Alys Griffiths

  • At first I created a fractal design, After that I used a kind of filters to get this endresult.

  • This is an abstract work that was comprised of fabrics, gesso, spray paints, and some acrylic paints and india ink. I started with the organization of various shapes and colors of textured fabrics. Some pieces were sewn together and other areas were merely pinned and glued (together or overlapped). Then I painted geometric areas with spray paints and gesso. After the gesso dried, I also painted in shapes with similar colors of acrylics, adding to the overall texture and echoing spaces for greater definition. Ink was also used, which absorbed into the fabrics, bringing the inherent textile texture to the surface. The original dimensions of the work are 24in. X 22in. It was initiated a few years ago and completed in 2008.

  • This abstract symbolizes to me the elements: sun, water, air, and earth. The values, cells, blood, and oxygen that courses through our bodies, yet through all motion created & breathing creatures in the universe. The intrique smoothness, yet fragile thin arteries carrying the sudsidence required to exsist. Yet we as humans choose to allow inferior particles to cloud our judgment, our bodies, causing a breakdown in communication and the natural course of travel through life. Instead of learning and making changes we wait till failure, or destruction has occurred. But by then the veins die, our arteries fail us, and death overcomes us. The very heart of our exsistence lies in the balance everyday. So feed them well, give them the deserved nutrition, do not let the outer world determine your span, protect your surroundings and manifest your good will outward and give unto others, let the Arteries of Life carry you anew. • On Zazzle / On DeviantART Won a Today’s Best Award on Zazzle (second page, bottom row) Closeup of a picture I’m workng on – I liked this bit on its own, and I wanted to show a closeup on the details anyway. Very Sandman and Neil Gaiman inspired (specifically, the Endless – Mostly Death, but also Dream, Destiny and Desire), but not actually OF them. Some personal stuff in there – some emotional imagery, some pretty details that mean nothing. / The pain of caring and protecting something beautiful that feeds on you and hurts you. The paleness of being only a shadow compared to another’s light and glory. The power of darkness and being unknown, and the restraint possessed and never seen. And I just had a completely different idea for the background… Anyway, the full picture’s up to fours hours at the moment (and hasn’t been touched for awhile…), this bit… was maybe two hours. • IF we believe that CHRIST has died for us, are we going to continue doing the same as before we acknowledged HIM ? / If we recognize HIM as LORD, how ,can we BE DIFFERENT ? / That is the challenge set before us every day ! / HOW CAN WE PLEASE GOD ? / HOW CAN WE SHOW HIS LOVE TO OTHERS ? / If Christians dont live up to standards, we cant expect people to BELIEVE IN HIM ! / It has always been the ISSUE FOR THE PAST CENTUARIES ! / / THIS WORK HAS BEEN DONE IN ACRYLICS ON CANEVAS
