  • This is another of my favourites. I can’t remember the exact date I painted it… it was roughly January or February of 2006. I used acrylic on cardboard (but HOW I used it is a secret!), approximately 63cm x 51cm. • Webb Bridge is down-to-earth, a project Melbourne can be proud of, built among the superannuated towers of Docklands. It suggests, romantically, the fishing nets, cages, middens and naughty hosiery of the old wharfs. It is biological and ethereal, a stab in the dark and sculptural.

  • Acrylic on canvas. This piece was literally painted either side of a storm, I began the base layers as the clouds welled and the thunder began to rumble, I let it dry as the storm passed, and then completed the final layers. I have decided not to make my paintings available on canvas, as they are already on canvas I feel reproductions should be on a different medium.

  • Oil on canvas applied with palette knife. Featured on the cover of the second album by Kevin Kastning and Sandor Szabo: / It is indeed an honour to have my work represent the wonderful music of these extraordinarily talented musicians. Inventors of whole knew instruments for the guitar family, and trail blazers of their genre. To hear , head to www.kevinkastning.com

  • Macro photograph from an Australian paperbark tree. This was taken late in the afternoon with my camera set on apperture priority! I am passionate about macro photography, I love to find art in the paperbark tree and rocks. Sometimes I find a miniature landscape hidden in the bark of a tree. The melaleuca tree is one of my most photographed tree barks. Featured in the IPA – International Photographers Alliance group, 9th August, 2008

  • This image is a collaboration with Mark Peterson He has used my photograph “Milky Quartz Abstract” below to create this amazing image which he has named “Quartz Wave”. Please go to his profile and check out his truly amazing images. There certainly will be more collaborations to come! :) /

  • “As I regained consciousness the storm was gaining momentum. I had strapped myself to my raft knowing that I may well not survive the night. As the dawn approached I struggled to hold on to what was left of my makeshift raft. My hands and feet were raw from the rope that I had used to secure myself. The size of the waves was terrifying and I prayed that with the new day the storm would pass and I would be safe…....” Macro photograph taken from a palm tree on the Gold Coast! This was taken just after the middle of the day from the shaded side of the tree. I am rather passionate about macro photography mostly of bark, rocks and flowers!! :) /

  • Ink, wax and water-colour on a full sheet of Saunders cold pressed, 300gms with printing techniques. / I love this paper for it’s soft but meaty texture and the randomness of its surface. Full sheets appeal because I get to keep the deckle edges as part of the rawness I look for with the direct application of water soluble hues. I read recently how the Japanese think – or have traditionally thought of – paper as sacred. Working with paper is always a thrill for me ….... its tactility and the very simple relationship with the fabric of trees is a delightful inter-relationship
