This is another of my favourites. I can’t remember the exact date I painted it… it was roughly January or February of 2006. I used acrylic on cardboard (but HOW I used it is a secret!), approximately 63cm x 51cm. Mixed medium painting of an abstract with desert earth tones.
A total curve ball for me but playing around in Photoshop / I came up with something interesting from a very blurry shot of some leaves in the water. I must give props to Rhana Griffin / For the title of this one. I was really stuck. / ......... / Shot using a Canon Digital Rebel XTI 400D / Click to View By Category: / - Waterfall Photos / - Infrared Photos / - Black and White Photos / - Animal Photos / - Halloween Cards / - Christmas Cards
20×24” acrylic on canvas. / Other people’s music. Other people’s talking. Other people’s yelling. “Oh, my God.” Over, and over and over and over. Other people’s dogs barking. Other people’s ignoring me. “Listen to me.” “Leave me alone.” “Go away.” “Get over here and pay attention to me.” Too many. Too Close. I can’t stand it. It makes me want to scream. Then I would be someone else’s other people. Too loud. Too angry. Too excited. Too too too human. I tell myself to be silent. I paint. I read. I smoke. I pet the cat. I sleep. I wake. The paint is dry. It is only a painting. Not a scream. Not a cry. Not angry or desperate or sad or depressed or hungry or horny or anything really. Just a bunch of colors. Guess I’ll just call it abstract.

Beautiful pathways of vivid flowing colours collide into each other to form a striking composition. In this abstract close up image the paint comes alive as the bright colours play against each other. Check out my website here for more information www.markchadwick.co.uk

Something from the vault… another dandelion photo… I just keep discovering these, haha. There’s a gold mine of them on my hard drive. I don’t remember what I used as the background for this, but I edited the saturation to make the red really pop and it reminded me of star bursts. You know the candy, hehe… Enjoy!

I saw the fire burning over the water .. smoke blued by the night flowing outward … My first ever work in Ultrafractal and the newest version 5.01 with post work (texture, sizing, brightness, contrast) in Gimp. Wish you could see the texture in this image (big smile) It’s best viewed large (grin) I’m completely impressed with the speed of rendering so far in UF5! I rendered this fractal at 10,000px squared with 300 resolution and it only took ten minutes on my 3.2mhz computer (2 gigs of ram) ... wow! Oh I suppose more complex images will take a lot longer .. don’t know yet since I’ve only rendered this one (big grin) .. however I had to resize it down to 5000px and compress it a little so that I could upload it here (smile) ... I’m very pleased with UF5 .. I’ve only scratched the surface for now but I see almost unlimited possibilities with my new toy (big smile) hope you enjoy it (big smile) Featured Art – March 2009 – RedBubble Group: Art in Math Featured Art – June 2009 – RedBubble Group: A Fractal Energy Passion Featured Member – Featured Art – June 2009 – RedBubble Group: A Fractal Energy Passion Featured Art – November 2009 – RedBubble Group: The Ultimate UF5 and Beyond UF09-1-090311-27

This is my first attempt playing with food dye, water and my computer monitor as a brightly lit backdrop. See here for how I created this shot. (The stack of dvds were implemented after this shot was taken) / / This was pretty damn difficult without a tripod or assistant.. One hand holding the camera , one hand holding the dropper, full of dye. Having to get focus on the camera, hold it straight, shoot and drop the dye at once.. I need a tripod haha! / / I had heaps of fun trying to make this work though. Soon learning that dropping the dye closer to the front of the glass allowed for more clarity in the shot. / / The next step will be multiple colours, but not till a tripod is involved lol. Featured in Color & Light / Featured in Out Of The Blue / Featured in The Beginners Corner / / Slight crop of original, adjustment of brightness and contrast for colour control. / / Canon 50D / 58mm, 18 – 55 / f5, 1/320, ISO 1600 / / MCN:CRR2W-5HDN9-7U4H3
Round two of the Rainbow Drowning project. See here for how I created this shot. (The stack of dvds were implemented after this shot was taken) / / Was holding the camera portrait for these ones, to get a bit more depth and length in the shots. The dye squirted harder than expected, causing a fast and long rippling effect in the water. / / Loved the contrast between light and dark in these ones and the background blur too. / / Crop of original shot, with adjustment of brightness and contrast.
