/ “The Abate Pear” is also in the Texture Journal.... Watercolour and Acrylic, in the Proximage and Prat Journal. The metallic texture here is more implied than actual, and I decided to make the pear look as if it was lit from behind….the Abate Pear is actually a very large whitish beige pear, [see my painting “The White Abate”] but I decided to use a lot of colour with this one... /

White light has always been a symbol of purity. Ever since we were young, and as we grow older… light will always be something associated with the divine. But is there such a thing as too much? Where the light would fade instead of enhance? Where it would abate rather than brighten?

This was a candid shot I took at an area bear run held by the Northwest Florida Chapter of ABATE. It was a lot of fun and these are great people.
