  • "1989"
    by Birgitta

    US$4.99–US$114.00

This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / sold: 2 mounted prints (RB artists) / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /

  • A Room With A View.....
    by Dave Warren

    US$3.99–US$91.20

This is Thornseat Lodge, a derelict house in Derbyshire, originally a Gamekeepers house, then in 1934 was turned into an orphange and was stopped being used in the late 80’s, now it is just falling apart, such a waste

  • The Tenant...
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$6.65–US$152.00

This shot is of one of the bedrooms in the old farmhouse. This was a very creepy and surreal scene. Like the set of a SAW movie or something. / / Canon 400D / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / THE TRAGIC HISTORY BEHIND THESE IMAGES / / The Room With The Broken Heart… by Arcadia Tempest. • Glazier Apply Within
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Most of the windows in this place were either cracked, broken or completely removed. It made for some eerie nosies when walking about in the place with the wind rattling through and the curtains flapping about etc.

  • A ward full of beds in an abandoned mental asylum.

  • Not So Living Room
    by Joel Hall

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The Wood Family Farmhouse was built in 1866. Some time after the civil war the family lost all their investments and sold the home and farmland to the Harris family. The last occupant, Mrs. Harris passed away in the house in the late 1970’s, and the house has been left alone ever since. Camera: Nikon D90 / Lens: Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm / Exposure: f16, ISO200 / Processing: Photoshop CS3, Photomatix, Redynamix / Technique: 3-exposure HDR on tripod / Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, USA See other shots from this set: Wood Family Farmhouse Homepage Feature 5/23/2009

  • Upstairs
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.99–US$91.20

These were so lovely that coming at them from any new angle gave you an entirely different shot that you just had to take. Someone had obviously stolen the brass rods as you can see from the carpet being bunched here, but thats so very little to worry about when i think about what they could have done here.

  • Halfway House
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The remainder of a building, partially demolished stands right on the waters edge at an abandoned shipbuilding yard. What were once doors into rooms now lead to a drop where the side of a building has been removed. / / / Have a look through the rest of my portfolio to see more pictures from the abandoned buildings i visit. / / / Or you could view my current set where i explain the process and situations you bump into walking around and taking photos in derelicts, which can be found here / / /

  • The Way to School
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.99–US$91.20

This is the view walking up the main driveway of this abandoned boarding school, i wonder how many kids were unhappy to be taken along this route and left by their parents at the start of the term.

  • The grand staircase, this time shot with only available light/mirk for a more unsettling ‘Silent Hill’ look. Just a little light tone mapping to avoid burn-out and retain shadow detail, otherwise this is all natural – including the small scrap of very blue wallpaper in the bottom left.

  • Old House
    by Richard Shepherd

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The exterior of this old stately home is really quite grand, and i think made by the same architect as the Way to school building due to the presence of many similar features such as the plaque space above the door etc.

I found another abandoned farm house yesterday… everything was left as it was. There were still books in the bookcase and dishes in the cupboard. I am a little nervous on entering this one because it is REALLY deteriorated. / / / You never know what lurks in the shadows… / / Canon 400D w/ Canon 10-22mm lens / 3 shots (raw) / Photomatix / Lightroom & cs3 / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / BEST VIEWED LARGER / / Click HERE for more of my Series on abandonment / / / / Click HERE for more of my Series on abandonment / / .

  • dont know why, but the varying states of the cisterns and seats on these three toilets reminded me of the three monkeys! Taken in an abandoned mental asylum.
