Abandoned couch in Northcote.
What’s left behind of an old pickup at an abandoned mine in NV.
I found this old piano in an abandoned church. It’s a haunting echo of music played, songs sung, and dances danced.

This is the old Westvale Barn… it was built over 100 years ago and was in use until only a few years past. Now it is scheduled for the wrecking ball. / / Canon 400d /
I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! This is Thornseat Lodge, a derelict house in Derbyshire, originally a Gamekeepers house, then in 1934 was turned into an orphange and was stopped being used in the late 80’s, now it is just falling apart, such a waste

The exterior of this old stately home is really quite grand, and i think made by the same architect as the Way to school building due to the presence of many similar features such as the plaque space above the door etc.
An old Holden left for dead in Marysville, Victoria, Australia. Found it with all its windows smashed in and covered in Graffiti. HDR done in Photomatix, converted to black and white in Adobe Lightroom. Sales 8 Greeting Cards On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other photos of cars! The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. It’s a wonder any of us has any incentive to get up in the morning. :) Online Galleries: / Surrealism art prints / 2d3d graphic design software / 3ds models max software
This shot is of one of the bedrooms in the old farmhouse. This was a very creepy and surreal scene. I could not sleep last night and was out before the sun doing some shooting. I made my way to this old house as the sun was beginning to rise up and greet me. I plan to go back with Dana and shoot the inside this weekend. Just seemed stupid to go in by myself. It is awfully messed up and no one knew where I was. / I Love these old houses. So many things they could tell us… Shot with Sony A-100
I found another abandoned farm house yesterday… everything was left as it was. There were still books in the bookcase and dishes in the cupboard. This State Hospital was established in its present location in 1901 as a farm colony for “chronic insane patients”. By 1945 the number of patients had risen to 1,730, with a total staff of 250 with 241 vacancies. By this time the institution had grown to 1,200 acres with buildings scattered widely over an area covering three towns. After 72 years of operation the Hospital was closed in 1973 as the first of a series of institutions to close in its state. The campus is now occupied by a University , a Job Corps Program, and various state agencies. Most structures have been renovated and altered for re-use, some have been demolished. A graveyard remains on a nearby hilltop with 1,041 numbered, nameless graves of persons who died in this institution. A handwritten list of their names survives in various archives.
