  • This was an old abandoned home that was located on a bay. It was such a beautiful location and so sad to see that no one was living there. One the side of the home there was this window with weathered beaten curtains blowing about.

  • What’s left behind of an old pickup at an abandoned mine in NV.

  • This building has no visible floor, instead you tread on loose soil. I believe conveyors were fed through each of these small windows and this building was involved in the production of some of the smaller caliber shells used during the war. The Kingsbury Ordnance plant sat upon land acquired by the us government during ww2. some 13,000 acres were designated for this facility and it was operated throughout the war and then once again reopened for the Korean conflict. This is one of my favorite abandonments to visit.

  • The abandoned boat house on the lake in Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens in Sherbrooke, VIC.

  • The house sits like her heart… Empty, once full of love and life, now the halls echo with the laughter..the joy of their love, Memories of happiness are all she has. He left for work that day with a kiss to her lips, a “I love you” on his way out the door, she waved to him out the window and blew him a kiss..if she only knew that would be the last time she tasted his kiss, felt his touch, she would never have let him go..The only relief out of all this pain and heartache is he didn’t suffer, when the truck hit his car head on, he died instantly. Now she waits, unable to leave their home, not wanting to go on, knowing that he waits for her..she prays for “HER” life after death, to be in his arms again, to feel his kiss, his touch, to make this house their home for eternity, the way it should have been..but again she wakes to the emptiness of the halls, the emptiness of their bed and of her heart..she goes to the window and like a movie played over and over agiain she sees him getting into his car..she pounds on the window..yells for him to STOP!!!..to COME BACK!!!...and like every day he pulls away and disappears into thin air…leaving her again.to her pain, and their empty house.
