The shipwreck of the S. S. Dicky on a Sunshine Coast Beach in Australia. A 40 ton steamer ran aground in 1893. The sea has gradually carved away at it after over 110 years of the waves washing over it. A glorious sunrise helped illuminate it as the tides began to come in.
The abandoned farmhouse continues! / / After I opened the front door, I couldn’t go in. / There was a huge drop off there, so I had to go / around. When I went inside, this is what I saw. / (And sadly, the door in my “Welcome Home” photo had / been ripped off. But the ivy remained..) / / I’ll be adding more from this series later, so keep checking back! ;) / / / / / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / 1989 / I Remember You /

A rare black and white… ...me, standing at the industrial site the other day. / (I’m a huge fan of all things industrial..) /
A quick view of the outside of the building ,standing tall and defiant against the vandalism and damage that has attacked her inner sanctum. Hopefully one day this place could be recovered and the broken insides replaced, though i doubt it will happen. This place really is a beautiful place, and certainly something i will be making a point of visiting again when i am in the area to cover some of the rooms and locations i didn’t get time for on this occasion.
And for the final shot of this site, a shot of the facade of the building and the small driveway leading up to it. Scotland has quite a few lovely buildings which have been abandoned of them, this is but one of many wonderful treasures the country has.

What remains of the Cafe and probably lodgings above it. / I was in Turkey to attend ANZAC Day at Gallipoli. / I became fascinated with Istanbul and decided to walk the backstreets which is where I found this old cafe. / Istanbul, is truley a very remarkable place. Olympus E300 / 14 – 45 mm lens.

Another image from my ‘green room’ series, shot at ABM. This time I elected to concentrate on light and composition instead of colour. It would have been so easy to crank up the red on the ‘Ladder Safety’ poster… but I like the darker B&W mood here rather more. At full magnification it is still possible to read every word of the ‘Ode to Roger’ pinned on the noticeboard.
I found this suitcase in an abandoned house and was struck by its pattern. Tilt Shift lens so very little focus and a lot of visual.

From certain viewpoints the old cement works in Geelong looks like a bomb site (or what I imagine a bomb site looks like). The stormy sky just added to the feeling of destruction. / HDR created with tone mapping and tonal adjustment. / Nikon D300 with 12 – 24 mm wide angle lens.
16”X20” water mixable oils on stretched canvas… something different…...
Is this a sign of to days Politics way out on the left / Taken on the prairie in Western Saskatchewan / Olympus E510 14/42 lens / photomatix pro 3.1 lightroom 2.3 HDR
all stock purchased and textures my own I wanted it to have a rough, moody feel…. I think, although the Holidays are joyous, there are many who feel like this gentleman..
