One of my first photos on the Shen Hao camera, taken round at Crail harbour in Fife. / I placed myself right on the water’s edge, looking down as the tide came in and superimposed 3 exposures on the one frame to give the effect of water lapping around the rocks like mist. I think the red rock is carboniferous sandstone.

there was actually a concept behind this. it was day 320 of my “flickr.com 365days self portrait project”, it was a wednesday, and the week felt like it was taking an eternity. it was a “gift” for my flickr friends. the title was actually “this is for you, you’re gonna need it”. this one will end up on my kitchen wall, and probably as greeting cards. just a kind of “hello” to friends i’ve fallen out of touch with, or to ask someone for lunch, coffee, etc.

2600+ views, 34 faves. This is one of my favourite shots taken on black and white film and taken in St Mark’s Square in Venice, Italy. I have scanned the print. I like the timelessness of this shot and the sense of innocence. She was surrounded by the pigeons at first and she didn’t mind. But later, one flew on her head and she minded a lot. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. A matted print in Off White to Lucy, my sister-in-law, in the UK. Many thanks so much for purchasing this. This shot was featured in the Urban Art Group, the Other Side of Italy and the I love Italy Group.
