This is from a series I produced a few years ago in my homemade, primitive yet functional darkroom. Sadly, my enlarger now lives in the bottom of a cupboard :(

Taken from top of the Empire State Building, NYC, 10:00 PM. / It was so windy up there I had to jam my lightweight tripod against the wall with my knee to keep everything still. Originally shot on Fuji 100 ISO color print film (see insert below), scanned to digital on a Canon FS2710 negative scanner, then converted to BW. 5005 views… 10 November 2009

This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

This wonderful oak tree is located in the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains in Southern California. All the original limbs have been broken off by the snow loads of winter storms. The present limbs were regrown over the years. Photo taken during a blowing snowstorm.
