The subdued light is a beacon for humanity lost in a world wide orgy of unadulterated madness. / / They met each other and their fate in muddy trenches, spiritually degraded and morally confused. Senseless murder did not discriminate, it made them all victims of a crime whose magnitude numbs your logic, turns your love into a still nature of sort. Just a thought of a civilization buried below my feet fills my head with panic. The souls who live in other people’s hearts live forever. They are still around, one more reason to remember to care. This candle is for them, and only for them. The ones who raped their ideals have found their own fires already.

What I thought would be a quick easy painting took longer than I thought. It was finished on the day of a great peace keeper, therefore it’s my dedication to him and a donation to His Hands Working Group. I was talking with Sherrie from Queen St Bakery, Warilla about my food photography and she asked me if I took portraits as well. I showed her some photos on my nokia n95 (before the screen cracked!) and she booked me for her husband’s Nana’s birthday party. Today Sherrie picked me up at 10.20am and we had a lovely day at Yellow Rock, a lovely area above Albion Park with some stunning views. I took 10GB of photos, mostly shooting raw and exposure bracketing to ensure a good photo. Here are the first few I have processed. It was such a wonderful day!
