  • Image of an old cobblestone paved street in Denmark’s oldest city of Ribe. Ribe was founded in the first decades of the 8th century. Jacob August Riis, was born in Ribe, in a home just around the corner from where I took this shot. He is known for his dedication to using his photographic and journalistic talents to help the less fortunate in New York City, which was the subject of most of his prolific writings and photographic essays. As one of the first photographers to use flash, he is considered a pioneer in photography.

  • 8 – Process Reflection The eighth house of Scorpio and Pluto, with the element of Water – Influences this month, in addition to your personal natal aspects. The 8th House re-presents our sharpening and directly sexual appetite, money we acquire by our own efforts, and more traditionally – the house of death – of old ways and the beginning of a new life. This is the house that deals with emergencies and how we handle them. The side that deals with agony and ecstasy, with sex, death, and all manner of mergers, financial or otherwise. This house also holds information about surgeries, therapy and the way we generate after loss. Examples: House of Generation (sex), degeneration or regeneration; regeneration through enlargement of viewpoint, both spiritual and mental; death and the manner of it; rules the astral (psychic) plane and people with planets here have often brought over a legacy of sensitivity to invisible currents – often afflicted, having been involved in the misuse of psychic abilities (especially Mars/Neptune); partners’ possessions and financial conditions; a celestial messenger in disguise, a challenge to penetrate this disguise and become the recipient of the blessing it bears; other peoples’ resources – stocks, inheritance, death and closure. ©TKRosevear 2007 / Excerpt from Chapter One/Earthly Cycles – Sailing through the 7C’s Full Story

  • My first shot with my new Fuji S100fs bought today!! Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in south west London; it has not been lived in by the British royal family since the 18th century. The palace is located 11.7 miles (18.8 km) south west of Charing Cross and upstream of Central London on the River Thames. It was originally built for Cardinal Wolsey, a favourite of King Henry VIII, circa 1514; in 1529, as Wolsey fell from favour, the palace was passed to the King, who enlarged it. The following century, William III’s massive rebuilding and expansion project intended to rival Versailles was begun.[1] Work halted in 1694, leaving the palace in two distinct contrasting architectural styles, domestic Tudor and Baroque. While the palace’s styles are an accident of fate, a unity exists due to the use of pink bricks and an, albeit vague, symmetrical balancing of successive low wings.[2] Today, the palace is open to the public, and is a major tourist attraction. The palace’s Home Park is the site of the annual Hampton Court Palace Festival and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Along with St. James’s Palace, it is one of only two surviving palaces out of the many owned by Henry VIII.

  • The different colours that have joined together in this painting remind us to partake in the wonders of the world. We should gaze upon it with all its splendour and understand the true meaning of Spiritual healing. I cannot help but think of Harry Edwards who was the founder and president of NFSH, National Federation of Spiritual Healers which was formed in 1955. Harry worked very hard and vigorously to help people understand and realise their own healing potentials. He wrote a prayer which is still used to this day, during The Healing Minute. / May I be thankful for all the blessings I already have. Grant me relief from pain and sickness, protect me from all ills and grant me good health in the days to come. Remove all causes of imperfection and bring Thy Healing Ministers close to me that I may be conscious of their presence and so receive guidance and inspiration. Grant me courage and fortitude to overcome all adversity. Let me be conscious of Thy strength in all time of need. Grant me confidence to overcome my fears and not to anticipate harm. Teach me, how to live rightly in Thy sight, to do only that which is right and true. I pray that good guidance and right influencing will inspire all Thy peoples to be as brothers, one to the other, and that peace shall endure for all time. I also add a link to Harry Edwards Sanctuary – where everyone is welcome to request absent healing. This healing painting is dedicated to Shirley May, with love and healing thoughts from us all at Unseen. You have been placed on our healing list and we shall think of you daily. December, 8th 2009
