8 – Process Reflection The eighth house of Scorpio and Pluto, with the element of Water – Influences this month, in addition to your personal natal aspects. The 8th House re-presents our sharpening and directly sexual appetite, money we acquire by our own efforts, and more traditionally – the house of death – of old ways and the beginning of a new life. This is the house that deals with emergencies and how we handle them. The side that deals with agony and ecstasy, with sex, death, and all manner of mergers, financial or otherwise. This house also holds information about surgeries, therapy and the way we generate after loss. Image of an old cobblestone paved street in Denmark’s oldest city of Ribe. Ribe was founded in the first decades of the 8th century. Jacob August Riis, was born in Ribe, in a home just around the corner from where I took this shot. He is known for his dedication to using his photographic and journalistic talents to help the less fortunate in New York City, which was the subject of most of his prolific writings and photographic essays. Simon arrived for tea last night with a surprise for me… : ) he had gotten me a software programme that means i can have a go at HDR with just 1 image taken.It blends all the tones ect for you so no need to take 3 exposures. Im a very HAPPY Bunny. As i am really interested in HDR due to looking at Simons work and how he process and other peoples work i have seen.So thank you Simon. Please let me knowwhat you think i am here to learn and happy for imformative comments and ideas to point me in the right direction. this is my 3rd image i have tried it on. / Loved the brown and green tones on the groyns and wooden planks and the splash marks by the waves drying on the wood. Peace is a term that most commonly refers to an absence of hostility, but which also represents a larger concept wherein there are healthy or newly-healed interpersonal or international relationships, safety in matters of social or economic welfare, the acknowledgment of equality and fairness in political relationships and, in world matters, peacetime; a state of being absent any war or conflict. Reflection on the nature of peace is also bound up with considerations of the causes for its absence or loss. Among these potential causes are: insecurity, social injustice, economic inequality, political and religious radicalism, and acute nationalism. Derived from the Anglo-Norman pas c.1140, and meaning “freedom from civil disorder”, the English word came into use in various personal greetings from c.1300 as a translation of the biblical terms pax (from the Vulgate) and Greek eirene, which in turn were renderings of the Hebrew shalom. Shalom, cognate with the Arabic “salaam”, has multiple meanings: safety, welfare, prosperity, security, fortune, friendliness. The personalised meaning is reflected in a non-violent lifestyle which also describes a relationship between any people characterized by respect, justice and goodwill. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual’s sense of himself or herself, as to be “at peace” with one’s own mind attested in Europe from c.1200. The early English term is also used in the sense of “quiet”, reflecting a calm, serene, and meditative approach to the family or group relationships that avoids quarreling and seeks tranquility — an absence of disturbance or agitation.
