Aboriginal artwork on this Qantas Boeing 737-800 makes it one of the most expensive airborne pieces of art ever created. The aircraft is called Yananyi Dreaming. Shot in Melbourne, 2007. I do not crop or post-edit my work in any way. What you see is exactly what I shoot. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8 1/350 sec, ISO 200. focal length 98mm. Featured in METALLIC JUNKTION in May 2009. Featured in NOT WHAT IT SEEMS in June 2009.

With a hail storm approaching a Dutch B.737 prepares to take-off from Luton Airport.
Imaged at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia domestic terminal. Note the small dome that contains a satellite tracking dish atop the rear fuselage. This system is used for (mainly) user-pays inflight entertaiment, including live TV. I recently travelled in this aircraft from Bribane to Melbourne. It cruised at 39,000 ft at 500 mph. Flight time exactly 2 hours, with a very strong headwind.
This is the overhead panel of a 737-800 just for anyone interested. I will take some of all the panels and some pretty cockpit pics when I go back to work after crimbo.
My tribute to my hatred of flying … while others love this view, I am happier UNDER the clouds. Very little digi touch up done here too.
