I drew this for a good friend of mine Ron; who loves rods, and has a pretty wicked imagination. I was trying to imagine a place where all the cars and characters that only ever existed in our imaginations reside. A parallel world, inspired by stories from Stephen King and T.V. shows like The Twilight Zone… I drew it as a rough pen sketch and then painted it in P’Shop.

One of the most popular and shocking accusations concerning the number “666” is that the number “666” is quietly “hidden” in every UPC barcode. Mary Stewart Relfe’s book, “The New Money System 666”, published in 1982, is the “pioneer” of the “666 in the UPC barcode” teaching. Relfe’s book contains over 50 pages of excellant doumentation on the UPC barcodes. Relfe’s discovery is repeated in many publications touching the mark of the beast, within the last fifteen years. Including tracts published by this author. All three of these numbers are 6, making the use of the numbers ‘666’ the key to using this identifying marking system. . . There is no deviation. The Second International Barcode of Life Conference, running through Friday, involves a worldwide effort to revolutionize the identification of species by using DNA barcoding. Similar to the barcodes that identify items at a grocery store, a DNA barcode has potential applications in food safety, disease prevention and better environmental monitoring. There are more than 280,000 DNA barcode records representing about 31,000 species. “DNA barcoding is emerging as a global standard for identifying species in basic taxonomic research, biodiversity studies and in government regulation,” said David Schindel, executive secretary of the Consortium for the Barcode of Life, an organization based at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington. Each of the world’s estimated 1.8 million species is genetically unique. DNA barcoding rapidly sequences the DNA from a single, standardized gene on the DNA molecule, officials said. The technique can quickly identify species from larval forms or tissue samples that can sometimes be nearly impossible to identify through traditional methods. Satanism is a Christian religion, the inverted cross would have no diabolical meaning if it weren’t for the reverence held for the upright version. But is evil merely the absence of a moral code or is it a specific choice made by those shunned by the society that accepts the code? Do belief systems that divide us into irreconcilable halves like spiritual and physical – divine and carnal create this aberration or is Evil a transcendent all-encompassing force that is invoked by humans who lack a conscience and any empathy for their fellow beings? / Perhaps the greatest Evil of all is that which comes under the cloak of religion – be it the priest molesting the innocent or the fanatics who kill in the name of their God…

This piece is a part of a bigger whole. I am working on the identity and marketing tools for my new band and our next album/tour…. / This skull will be the main feature in our emblem so to say. I hope to be able to hang the bands visual identity on this symbol…. The paper used here is a French product from Canson (A4 18 1/2” X 11 3/4”) it is 70 gram pr square centimetres. It carries 100 sheets of bleed free XL Marker paper. / As fare as ink and pens go I stick with the new series from Edding. / They have a pen for every purpose, and they are very dynamic, thus provides a huge span in line thickness within each pen/marker. And they come with a great super black ink. No shininess or any disturbing pen marks in the black areas. And it has the same colour as most printer ink. They are totally opaque and fantastic for producing original drawings for sale. I will make an article about this on my blog in near future. The process of creating this kind of image is rather simple. / I sketch on basically any old shitty paper scrap floating about, or on printer paper right out of the tray…and sometimes I buy sketch pads. / I us a standard technical pen for easy lead feed. / The sketch get scanned in to Photoshop, where I clean it up if needed. And sometimes I use Photoshops excellent tool set for small corrections and little changes in composition…. / Thereafter I print the result out on a piece of paper better suited for inking.
