This is a cheetah, the fastest land animal in the world. It can run up to 65 mph in short burst. The cheetah is extinct from more than 20 countries and between 12,000 to 15,000 remain from the 100,000 we had more than 100 years ago. Taken at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Florida with Nikon D40 w/ 55-200mm lens.
Another one from twelve years ago. My reason for uploading these old ones is partly to show that coloured pencil work is not a new phase in my art, but a return to something I foolishly gave up all those years ago. This is one of my own personal favourites of my work, but doesn’t seem to appeal to Redbubblers very much :(

Flawless 1965 Corvette Roadster on display at the Grand National Roadster show. The light blue interior was made to replicate the original leather, panels, and dash. Stock “looking” engine, but undoubtedly huge horsepower. This would look very good in your garage… Framed for your game room:

The show ran for six series, with several specials over a ten year period, from 1990 to 2000. The series features the exploits of Victor Meldrew, played by Richard Wilson, and his long-suffering wife, Margaret, played by Annette Crosbie, in their battle against the trials of modern life. After being forced to take involuntary early retirement, the series followed the protagonist’s various efforts to keep himself busy, whilst encountering various misfortunes and misunderstandings. The series was set in a typical suburban household in a suburb of London based on Luton (although was largely filmed on location in Dorset). However, despite its traditional production, the series subverts its domestic sitcom setting with elements of black humour and surrealism. / The One Foot in the Grave theme song was written and sung by Eric Idle. A longer version was produced for the special “One Foot in the Algarve”, with a remixed version released as a single in November 1994. ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE They say I might as well face the truth / That I am just too long in the tooth. / So I’m an OAP and weak-kneed / But I have not yet quite gone to seed. / I may be over the hill now that I have retired / Fading away but I’ve not yet expired. / Clapped out, run down, too old to save / One Foot in the Grave. They say I might as well face the truth / That I am just too long in the tooth. / I’ve started to deteriorate / And now I’ve passed my own sell-by date. Oh, I am no spring chicken it’s true. / I have to pop my teeth in to chew. / And my old knees have started to knock / I’ve just got too many miles on the clock. So I’m a wrinkly, crinkly, set in my ways. / It’s true that my body has seen better days. / But give me half a chance and I can still misbehave. / One Foot in the Grave. / One Foot in the Grave. / One Foot in the Grave.
