Dearest mom… It is your 50th birthday today.I know you are probably waiting for the jokes to start but,I sit here now in the wee hours of the morning.Thinking just what can I say to the woman who gave birth to me.This is a very important stepping stone in your life and I want to make this day extremely special for you.I am just not sure how. I have a million things to say (as always) but for some reason I can’t get them out just right.I know you always appreciate my writing so I will do my best to express how I feel just that way… Not sure if you got what I wanted you to get outta that.In case you didn’t… I love you so much mom I know things weren’t always the greatest between us.Although now… I have so much love for you it makes my heart ache with happiness. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t thank God for giving me the best mom there is.You have done so much for me. You taught me some pretty hard life lessons and I KNOW it wasn’t easy for you either.I used to get mad at you for that but now I understand and appreciate what you did for me. You made me become a better mother for my children.We still make our mistakes from time to time but we help each other through them and without judgement. / You made me a better person knowing you.You are still teaching me life lessons as you learn them yourself.It takes a very strong hearted woman to do that.I know life had some pretty hard lessons as well for you to learn and you did.I am so sorry for any pain I have caused along the way of learning those lessons.Just think mom in the 50 years of life you have had, what you have accomplished and learned …Just think what the next 50 years has in store for you.Life really is a gift I have learned that in my 28 years of life…im excited to see what I get outta the next 28 years… I do believe the Lord helped us get through all of our tears and gave us all the happiness we do have.In all these rambles I am hoping you know how I feel…cause to be quite honest with you and for the first time in my life…I am speechless and the feelings I have there are no words for.Except..
