Inspired by ‘40’s and ‘50’s Hollywood movie publicity shots, when glamour was still glamour… Taken on 4×5 black and white film using a Rodenstock Imagon lens from that era, loved for its dial-in soft focus ability.
This was taken in Hania in Western Crete. Every evening these 4 ya yas would sit in the middle of the intersection to eat grapes, catch some breeze and, of course, gossip.
This is a high res scan of a vintage capacitor label (1940s) from an old bakelite radio. I loved the old style graphics and typography. This is a special version for black shirts. Hope you like it.
Got really lucky on this shot, goofing around with my macro lens when i saw this Great Blue Heron some distance away. Quick change to the Sigma 50-500mm lens netted this. HDR Images / Prague Images / Aviation Related Images

After months of travelling from the Grand Canyon to Virginia, Herman finally settled down and got in touch with his Financial Advisor Chris Fratzenfritzer to receive his quartely portfolio update. They met for lunch at the upscale Ugly Duckling, known for their splendid “All You Care To Eat” lunch buffet. Local authorities put together a quick press conference, reporting eye witness accounts of other guests and revealing the restaurants security camera footage: / “On January 8th, Chris Fratzenfritzer and Herman were seen entering the establishment, and immediatley settled down at the buffet. After approximately 15 minutes, fellow patrons overheard a heated argument coming from the buffet line. Eye witness accounts revealed that Herman picked up his portfolio and allegedly threw it at Chris. After the feathers settled, Chris was seen pounding his fist, upon which fellow patrons reported hearing a faint scream of “Bernard Madoff?” coming from Herman, just before he plunged into the abyss. The condition or whereabouts of Herman at this time is unknown. We will now answer any question you may have.” As you may know, he’s been spotted here: (click on image for more info) / / and here …. drinking beer / / and of course here, in Oatman Arizona: / / Let’s not forget the Grand Canyon sighting: / / bothering German tourists …. / / seeking shelter here: / / and going for a swim …. /

Caught this little treefrog while at the Botanical Gardens to see what the fledging bald eagles are up to. They have not started branching yet, so this little guy kept me occupied for a bit.
Ok, is it just me or is this just incredible? This was taken during the 2009 Harborfest in Norfolk, VA, captured here is some of the rigging of the Brazilian Navy vessel “Cisne Branco” (White Swan) which hails from Rio de Janeiro. Can you imagine maintaining this clutter of ropes and lines? Do they have unique names for identifying each line and their function? Best viewed in Large. Taken with Nikon D300 and Sigma 50-500mm lens.
Taken during a Church service in Kallakurachi, India. Sunday 21st June 2009. I took this photograph just before I was called to preach to many Christians and Hindu people who had gathered in a small gods house. The temperature was 40c , and the Church building was made from wood, the walls and roof was made from galvanised tin sheeting. Despite the heat , the Fire of God was burning deep in the hearts of his people. It was in this service that God in his Love responded to the needs of the people. A young Hindu girl received her sight, others were healed from various diseases and many saved. Even those who could hear Gods word preached from outside the building via Speakers, came in and received Jesus Christ as Lord. I give God thanks and praise that he is so real and so loving. I thank God for those here on RB all around the world who pray for me, the Mission and have given money that made it possible to bless the poor and meet their needs. Without you This would not have been possible. You are all important and play a vital role. Gods Vineyard. Thank you.
