Captured on an Indian Reservation in New Mexico, I have always loved 49-51 Ford Coupe’s…rare, they make one of the best Kustoms ever…and if I coulda found the owner and had a tow truck, I would have towed this all the way back home to Colorado with me! What a scene…...processed in HDR…thoughts welcomed!
This is a combination of two images: the seascape was taken last year at Asilomar Beach, on the Monterey Peninsula, Ca. Reversed 50mm macro shot of a blade of grass with dew drops on it. I tried to utilize the narrow DOF by maintaining focus on only a single droplet to emphasize its presence. Thanks for taking a look. Best Viewed LARGE

Caught this moment while taking some sunset photos. This Great Blue Heron just landed on the old pier, I loved the sihoulette cast against the evening sky.
Bewitched She picks boughs of magnolia from the tree in her garden and brings them to me in her fist as though she’s bringing me blooms of her heart to plant as my own. She takes a day off work, treats herself to a drive in the country and leaves 50’s starlet fiction and bites of toffee treacle honey sugar on my doorstep before ringing the bell and skipping away. She reads the language of my face. She paints the clouds with a thousand different reminders, then captures them in a butterfly net and pins them to my wall. She’s the ink and words from a Golden Book come to life. She plays the Mad Hatter so I can play Alice. She knows about the hidden debris, the mess, the harrowed whispers you don’t ever say out loud. And she loves me anyway. copyright © 2008, Holly Ringland.

F-15E Strike Eagle from the East Coast Demo team performs a highspeed pass to wow the spectators at the Airpower Over Hampton Roads airshow in Langley, Virginia.
When it comes to military aviation photography, shots like these are just “it” as far as I’m concerned. Look at that vapor around the trail edge of the wing, is that not awesome?
Today I had my first close encounter with snow geese, who appear to have migrated here for the winter. What a sight to see. The noise as they are in flight is just incredible! It appears to be advantageous to be on top during these close flights ….. notice the one “leaking” some hydraulic fluid? Taken with Nikon D300 & Sigma 50-500mm / Shutter Priority / 1/800s / f/6.3 / 500mm My art with 1000+ views
A little bit of 50’s glam in this image…
1950 Nash Airflyte Ambassador Super; the actual license plate on this car does begin with DOA. From Wikipedia: The aerodynamic 1949 Nash “Airflyte” was the first car of an advanced design introduced by the company after the war. Its aerodynamic body shape was developed in a wind tunnel. Nils Wahlberg’s theories on reducing an automobile body’s drag coefficient resulted in a smooth shape and enclosed front fenders. Wide and low, the automobile featured more interior room than its 1948 predecessor. This thing is HUGE! Featured in Experimental Photography—thank you!
I have really been going back to my roots lately with shooting retro themed subject matter and this is one of the shots that I recently took, I have a love affair with old skool signs, and the older the better! And Denver’s Colfax Avanue is simply loaded with them! Thoughts welcomed! / —-John Minolta 5D / Minolta 50mm f1.7 Lens / Processed in Lightroom
Green Heron falling easy prey to the Sigma 50-500mm, after he landed literally 10 yards away from me. Got images of him catching three fish and a dragonfly. I have been stalking this guy for over a year now, finally got a few keepers. Taken with Nikon D300 and Sigma 50-500mm.
American Bald Eagle bringing fish remains to the three fledging bald eagles, captured at Norfolk Botanical Gardens, Norfolk, VA.
