An Iraqi Army soldier’s assault rifle hangs from one of the many concrete barriers used as barricades and blast walls. Arabic graffiti written in charcoal from a warming fire, warns approaching vehicles to stay back or they will be fired upon. Mosul, Iraq Circa 2006
yesterday I attemped to have a conversation with someone about what consitutes a ‘real photographer’. rather that respond he reacted by telling me I’m a negative psyhco bitch, the only bad thing about Redbubble and should hurry out to buy razor blades and kill myself. no shit! I guess this means I’ll never be a ‘real photographer’ so to celebrate my freedom from the label of ‘real’ I’ve decided to concentrate on posting some UNREAL photographs. Here’s the first. This is a chance shot taken while someone slept in the set of an alternative theatre production some years ago. Vale Peter your real to me still though you are no longer real in a corporeal sense.

A shot from last year’s Hot August Nights in Reno. The first day of the 2008 Hot August Nights is today. I hope to be able to get some worthwhile shots to share with my friends at RedBubble from this 10 day event..
This is a traditional HDR, 7 exposures, processed in Photomatix and sharpened in CS3.
Taken at the Plant City Car Show this past weekend. This is a single exposure that was tone mapped using the Photomatix plugin for CS3 so it appears to be an HDR.

Developed by Republic for the USAAF this was one of the toughest and heaviest single engined fighters of the war. It was also very fast and although not as manoverable as the Mustang it was well liked as in the hands of a skilled pilot it could outfly all of its most common foes. the P-4f had the ability to carry up to 8 machine guns, 2 of which were 50 cals so it was well suited to a ground attack role and subsiquently gave its name to the modern day A-10 which is use primarily used for this purpose. Now it available as a mug..Woooo! / If you love Aircraft then check out these other designs below There’s also lots of other stuff to so be sure to have a good look

I created this tribute for my good mate Andy Mueller who is going through a rough time at the moment. / For those who don’t know… Andy’s Buddy, Robert has suffered a series of strokes which have left him partially paralysed. / Andy has been travelling backwards and forwards from his home in Virginia to Arkansas, to try and help his friend get his affairs in order. / Andy, you are an inspiration mate. This image was created using two separate images (one of the C-47, the other of the clouds) Lots of layering, filters, dodge and burning and so on… Its meant to symbolise that even though dark clouds gather, there is a path that leads to victory… / or something like that. / :o)
