I scare myself. Perhaps I need help… Canon 450D / F-stop: 5 / Exposure time: 1/125 / ISO-speed: 400 / Focal length: 43mm. Edited on photoshop CS3. Experimenting with make-up and, er, terrifying myself to my very soul. Please tell me how I can improve this. It just doesn’t look right. New title ideas anybody? Canon 450D / F-stop: 4.5 (-0.3 exposure bias) / Exposure time: 1/25 sec. / ISO-speed: 200 / Focal length: 30mm Cross-processed on photoshop CS3 and I added some noise. Oh yeah, nooise. Basically, I was like, hitting walls all over the place – metaphorically and physically – so my dear Andy set me a challenge to take a self-portrait of myself using one prop (I kinda pushed that a bit..) that reflected how I felt. / I think I like it. / Can I point out that the focus on my face in the negative was deliberate and not a fluke? Quite pleased about that. / A friend thinks this is just TOO out of focus, but I originally thought that just reflected how out of focus I felt. Help me out here – what do you think? It’s difficult to work with images that aren’t good quality in the first place.. Experimenting with B&W and noise. / Self-portrait, because I DON’T LIKE THIS SIZE ZERO RUBBISH. Too much pressure on young girls to put their bodies through too much! It should stooooop!! Rant over. Back to the image, you likey? The Lake of Menteith (in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park) on a misty, moisty, frosty morning in winter. The Lake is one of the only two bodies of open water in Scotland to be called a Lake rather than a Loch. This, I’m told, derives from the word “Laigh” .. meaning “Low”. Very occasionally, the Lake freezes over completely and, on such occasions, is used as the location for “The Bonspiel”: the famous curling match between the North of Scotland and the South of Scotland. Self Portrait. I’ve become a bit of a solitaire addict as of late, so I guess you could call this my Guilty Pleasure!! / Experimenting with my new wireless remote, which is a bitch to use by the way. This is my White Rabbit photo for my Alice in Wonderland Series, it’s not quite the same style, so I haven’t made a big thing out of it, just tacked it on the end. But yes. It’s the white rabbit. Canon 450D. No geeky stuff, I can’t be bothered, it’s not like you miss it. ...I must admit though, I didn’t take the picture of the cards (shock horror!!) because I couldn’t find any. Took the boys to the park this avo and stopped by the Lake on the way home. I set up the camera with my ND400 filter to get some long exposures – that way I could keep an eye on the boys whilst the camera did it’s thing.
