The Ghost gum has to be one of Australia’s most iconic trees, this one is located on the Hugh River Stock Route about 100km south of Alice Springs and is an impressive specimen. Life beside a small but dry creek bed looks to be easy for this giant as it dominates the landscape. Hugh River Stock Route, Central Deserts of Australia / Northern Territory / Australia

Chopin was born is Poland and regarded as one of Poland’s most famous composers. Although he left to live in Paris in 1891 his passion for this beautiful country never died. His music reflects his great love of the country. It was he wish to have his heart removed after his death and for it to be buried in Poland. It was sealed within a pillar of the Holy Cross Church (Kościół Świętego Krzyża) on Krakowskie Przedmieście, beneath an inscription from Matthew VI:21: / For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Chopin’s heart has remained there—except for a period during World War II, when it was removed for safekeeping—within the church that was rebuilt after its virtual destruction in World War II. This is dedicated to both Chopin and the land I love. / Chopin Acrylics, ink and graphite / 100×42cm on paper

Washing out to dry in Georgetown, Penang.
A birthday tradition, 27th December, breakfast at the Sheraton….or as it’s known now Sofitel.
It may not seem important now, but if you ever find yourself dying of thirst in Estonia, and the waitress doesn’t understand a damn thing you’re saying, don’t blame me.
This collection of Urban Landscapes is drawn from a larger body of work called Darkscapes. They are moody evocative invitations into mystery and imagination taken from the ordinary things that make up the fabric of city life. Beauty is all around us if only we take the time to notice it. We all look but maybe we don’t all see. This collection of images is a way for me to share what I see with others. I was leaving my studio in St Peters late one night and as exited the car park I took a quick snap from the car window. The somewhat eerie feel to this photograph is just how it feels to be in in that area late at night. Spooky! . /

“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.” Matthew 10:27 Have you wondered why God doesn’t immediately take everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord up to heaven? He leaves us here because we have a purpose and a calling as Christians here on the earth. We have been personally selected by God to be left here as a minority. The world has approximately six billion people and God has personally chosen a select group of people in whom He places His Spirit to serve as the source of light. When I consider myself in this way it turns upside down my goals and earthy ambitions. I’m not sure why God would choose such a weak and broken vessel as me for such an important purpose. Nevertheless I am convinced by His grace and favor upon me that His purpose and presence in my life are as real as the air that I breathe. Father God, please do not let me squander or overlook your passion and purpose for me while I tarry in this world. May I fear you and obediently submit to your call so that all may know that You alone are God, and that Jesus Christ is Your Son and Lord of all. This painting was inspired by the moving devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s. His powerful book, My Utmost for His Highest, continues to touch my life and draw me closer to Jesus. I hope that this art and verse do the same for you! BEST VIEWED LARGER Formerly called the Glebe Island Bridge, then renamed as ANZAC Bridge, some may not know that Sydney Harbour has more than one bridge. There are Sydney Harbour, Gladesville, Anzac , Pyrmont and Spit to name a few, all link various parts of Sydney. Anzac has a nickname of Madonna’s Bra well , well for two reasons lol This shot was taken from my office at North Sydney looking west. Equipment used Nikon D300 , Nikon 18-200mm lens, 3 bracketed images using Photomatix HDR. It was taken after dawn as the sunrise hit the city colouring it in wonderful amber light. Its mornings like these that make your camera trigger finger switch.
