We want to welcome all you bored RedBubblers to the NEW AND IMPROVED Boredom Competitions group where you get to compete with your fellow artists to possibly win minor fame and local notoriety and hopefully have fun while doing it! We are no longer holding just weekly or bi-monthly competitions, but instead will be having multiple contest running at all times. Month long competitions, week long competitions, day long competitions… and that’s just the beginning. Treasure hunts, collaborations, “most active participant” votes, polls, quizzes, and more than I can name right here. Most things will be centered around a theme or subject assignment, but many will be handed over to you, the artist or writer, to go at as you see fit. The current unique competitions’ guidelines can always be found in the “Standards Forum” and currently running are Oh Lover, Oh Mind and What Moves You but make sure to check out the constantly updated minor and f-sharp boredom-reliefs posted there as well. Most competitions will have a deadline for submission, some will have a capacity of submission deadline, and others will be up to the whim and fancy of your fellow artists’ votes and opinions. The idea behind the reborn group is that people are bored randomly, at any time and for any reason… one contest is not enough… we aim to supply you with something, indeed many things, to stifle that boredom at any time, day or night. Beginning or announced on/at Midnight March 24 UTC: / / Literature Based Comps / / Visual Art Based Comps / / Mixed Media / / Other, Unclassifiable Comps / / This whole new and improved group begins coming soon… Midnight March 24 UTC, except for the two primary Competitions which are in progress already, and so please feel free to write me in droves all of your ideas or thoughts, sending them right to my BMail… bring it on!!! You are the ones who are going to make the group the way it will be… Additionally, on whim and fancy we are enacting a point system. This way, for the smaller contests, the award will be points which you can later redeem for everything from art to cash. The hospital needed my bed for an urgent overnighter so they sent me home for the night, somehow, a whole day and night have passed me by with meals in between and I can’t remember having taken them??? Weird… I have two more ECT sessions to go before they give me an assessment and decide what to do from there, as I understood it, ECT meant a fast-track way of getting out of here and getting home, but I just don’t know what’s bullshit and what’s real any more, I think I’m becoming institutionalized, just another loon statistic on the record to prod, poke and explore pouring medication into, if I felt the whole experience was inspiring or stimulating enough, I’d turn it into a poem, but instead if feels like I’m a participant in some kind of market research study to survey and collect information on. I’m just another number and I’ve lost another day. Weird. I think I need to pick a fight with someone to feel the old adrenalin surging through my veins again, but with each ECT treatment, the subsequent adrenalin surge needs to be more extreme. This is therefore an open invitation for you to abuse the living shit out of me, which doesn’t happen too often so take advantage of it. Any takers? One day I’ll find a way to write about this whole loony bin experience so that it sounds entertaining… tick tick tick tick BOOM!

And – guess how i can tell – you never will, cos it’s blown me right away too!!!!! I JUST noticed that I struck a personal record in the past 24 (approx) hours – in that I scored (without a current home page or even red bubble feature to boost things along lol) OVER 1000 views on my ART since some time last night!!!!! Now – THAT is a REAL boost on my overall average no of views, I think….. MY SOLO EXHIBITION WILL BE OPENED IN LITHUANIAN PARLAMENT, VILNIUS Duke of sculpture – DANIELIUS SODEIKA / My exhibition in Sweden 2008 07 19/20 ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery.
