  • I was standing in the middle of the on coming wall of water, it might look small now but when it got to me – it was up to my thighs. / More photos from the shoot of Mona Vale Pool - Got up at 4 to get to the pool for these shots, travelling petrol: $10 / - A can of WD40 to water proof the camera: $4.95 / (to use this – Hahah…. you sprey it onto a piece of cloth the wipe you camera with it, avoiding the lens and viewfinder….not sprey directly onto the camera….so what ever to reply moisture is good. It also stop salt sprey clinging itself on the camera too.) / - Stand in front of an on coming wall of sea water (Being scare sh#tless): PRICELESS!

  • Somersby Falls is located near Gosford. Along the old stretch of old Princess Hwy. I can say that we were the first to get there today. Arrived at around 7:30am. We parked the car and headed straight down to the falls. I didn’t expect much from it. But to my surprise, the falls have to out to be one of the best that I have ever visited in Sydney. So many area to explore. This was taken on what could possibly be the last set of falls. We didn’t go any further. It wasn’t a hard walk, but you do need a bit of balance to move among the trees and rocks. There will be another trip….who’s up for it? Pack light, take only 1 lens….and good walking shoes. Cokin Z-Pro 121M Grad ND – bring down the exposure of the sky.

  • This is a shot of a storm rolling in from the east towards Melbourne, taken from below the chanel 10 communication tower on top of Mount Dandenong. / Camera Used EOS 40D Canon 10-22mm lens

  • Went down to Ricketts Point at sunset and was given a pretty good show shortly after the sun went over the horizon, how can that happen the sun doesn’t move? It got pretty windy and my remote decided to stop working but it was worth the 10 second wait for the self timer :) Taken with a Canon 400D and polariser as well as an ND4 grad filter, worked on in Adobe Lightroom 2. • Taken at Ricketts Point in Victoria shortly before the sun went down. It seems this seascape thing is developing into quite a passion. Canon 400D, Adobe Lightroom 2 processed. Grad and polariser filters used :) Inspired by a Presets song… Over and outside / And under / Over a new sky / I wonder I’m on my way getting pulled to the light / Baby don’t know baby don’t see you / Baby wont fear tonight / Clearing my eyes ‘cause it’s so hard to see / If a girl were to come up way with me And it’s alright it wont be long / You feeling something / So wont you come outside with me? / And it’s alright sing like a song / And now you’re flying / So wont you come and fly with me? Over and outside / And under / Over a new sky / I wonder We spread our fins / and we take to the seas / Looking for, wishing for / Somewhere new to breed / Hands in the air going out of their minds / In control but they wont take you alive And it’s alright it wont be long / You feeling something / So wont you come outside with me? / And it’s alright sing like a song / And now you’re flying / So wont you come and fly with me? • On the way to Ricketts Point I saw how still the water was and thought that it would be a good opportunity to get some nice reflections :) Taken with Canon 400D with ND4 Grad and Circular Polariser, played with in Adobe Lightroom 2. Reminded me of one of my favourite songs, Falling from the sky by VAST: I found the cure and no one cares / It’s just another thing to sell / I found a church, and no one’s there / It’s just another thing that failed (I’ll bring you down) I got / inside my pickup truck to / take a ride / (I’ll bring you down) Forgot / what I was looking for and / they arrived / (I’ll bring you down) I’m / lucky I’m not a slave / that’s going down / (I’ll bring you down) Down from the sky (falling) / Down from the sky (falling) / Down from the sky (falling) / Falling from the sky Got some love, yes I dared / I didn’t find it anywhere / Found some sex, another world / Sometimes it seems like you don’t care (I’ll bring you down) I got / inside my pickup truck to / take a ride / (I’ll bring you down) The / psychics gathered all around / and said I lied / (I’ll bring you down) And I’m / lucky I’m not a slave / that’s going down / (I’ll bring you down) Down from the sky (falling) / Down from the sky (falling) / Down from the sky (falling) / Falling from the sky Click here for my other seascapes

  • A corolla winding its way down the Lake Mountain Road back towards Marysville in Victoria’s Yarra Ranges. Taken with my Canon 40D… finally! Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS and Lightroom 2. Sales 1 Matted Print Featured in the Transport group on the 15th of April 2009 On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other photos of cars! • This sculpture is entitled blowhole and is by Duncan Stemler and was taken on Thursday the 5th of February 2009 at the Docklands, Melbourne, Australia. Long exposure taken with my Canon 40D and processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 Featured in the Fine Art of Photography Group in March 2009

  • Taken whilst on tour from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho. This place was so amazing and was kept in perfect condition. Taken with a Canon 400D and HDR in photomatix

  • Taken at 9:19pm on the way home from a shoot at Sandringham Beach under the light of a full moon. A bulb exposure of around 40 seconds @ f7.1. Couldn’t let it go too long otherwise the moon would blur out. Hadn’t taken a pic from this spot before but it’s pretty close to home :) They have been widening this freeway for months to make it 4 lanes bothways but I don’t think they have yet realised that it still has to go down into a 3 lane tunnel in peak hour to cross the Westgate Bridge. In peak hour it may as well be a 2 lane tunnel because they have to close the left lane in heavy traffic to let through emergency vehicles in the event of an emergency someone wasn’t smart enough (or prepared to spend enough money) to put in a shoulder! Taken with my trusty Canon 40D with 10-22mm lens, Velbon tripod and trusty canon shutter release otherwise a bulb exposure wouldn’t be achievable. • Just a shot of the Tattersalls Lane street sign for Laneway Magazine. The laneway is pretty cool and runs off Lonsdale Street in the city of Melbourne. HDR treatment on photos into direct sunlight works so well, and can yield some interesting effects. Just make sure you choose the right colour space in the HDR software otherwise areas of extreme brightness can appear to be missing. HDR treatment from 3 exposures applied in Photomatix, touched up in Adobe Lightroom. Taken with my Canon 40D and Canon 10-22mm lens.

  • Three seagulls having a leisurely chat at Mornington late in the afternoon. This was the first time I had been to Mornington since I was kid. I always flashbacks of a pier down on the coast as a child and until now had never realised where it was. It looked so much smaller than I remembered it to be… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS. Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens. Featured in the Piers and Jettis Group on the 28th of March 2009

  • Woke up at 4:40 am and drove down to Cape Schanck hoping to get at least one shot and this was the one (or 5 seeing it’s a stitch). Got here around 6:00 am and had the whole place to myself. It was pretty rough but thankfully not too windy. For anyone who plans on going here make sure you know the tide times, and have adequate footwear! Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens, 5 shot stitch in Adobe Photoshop CS4. Used two ND4 grad filters as I don’t have any ones darker than an ND4, hence the reddy colour as well. Better viewed large! Click here for my other seascapes

  • Another one from Cape Schanck the other morning…

  • ...if you were facing this way but most people were going the other way! I have a love/hate affair with freeways, hate being on them but love taking photos of them and seeing this one is only 5 minutes from my house it’s always the one I go to. Walking home from the station I looked up and that damn this is gonna be a good sunset and as I didn’t have enough time to get anywhere near the coast or somewhere beautiful I headed here instead. / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S. FL: 16mm 8 seconds @ f25, ISO 100 ND8 Grad Filter Adobe Lightroom 2 Featured in the Melbourne & Victoria Group on the 5th of May 2009 Featured in the Speed Group on the 8th of May 2009 Click here for my other photos of the Monash Freeway

  • I couldn’t think of any other title when looking at this photo, at first only the tree caught my eye when thinking about a possible stitch shot but then appeared the rock… Took this at 6:45am this morning when the closest weather station was showing only 1.3 degrees C. There’s been some record cold temperatures in Victoria for April and there is talk of an early snow season. / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S. • old barn with power lines crossing horizon. Canon 50D, 15secs, f10, 13mm, 100iso

  • Taken on the back side of Portsea facing the ocean, near the infamous London Bridge. This was my first visit to the south side but it didn’t look like there were any bridges to me! The swell was huge on this side and the waves made cracking noises as they smashed the shore.. Couldn’t go too long in the exposure as the water level would rise up above the rocks making it disappear from sight! / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. • Just a simple shot from the Portsea front beach, was cold and windy.. a little different from where I was a bit over a week ago! / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm. • I ran down the jetty almost slipping and breaking my neck! but i managed to rattle just three shots off before the light faded into the biteing wind. Canon 50D, 10-22, f-15, 3 brkt shots -2, 0, +2, photomatix-ed and a bit of photoshop, i was going to add more contrast, but i like the softness.
