For thousands of years rock artists have made hand stencils on their stone canvases. In this age of instantaneous entertainment, rock concerts and laser light shows has anything really changed? Student river health conference dinner, Canberra, Oct 07.

Something completely non-artistic… however, it’s a nice image (digitally enhanced, of course). I’ll probably take it down after a few days, depending on its popularity. I guess I just wanted to share the moment. This eclipse happened on February 20th-21st, 2008, shot in Brazil **Edit: This image is staying due to its surprising popularity! :)

This is what I wanted to focused on, creating a model like this for magazine ads, you never know. This overall was hard to pull off because I worked on the lighting and shadow effects which in the end came out perfect. I did this back in February and had thought I lost this illustration but I’m glad I found it. Poser 6,Aikobot,Photoshop CS3, Aikobots are so cool!! The eyes I felt were the best feature on her as I wanted a cyborg model feature here. Enjoy!!

Fiat still produces genuinely small cars, popular with residents in the centres of old Italian towns, but for ancient alleyways like this one, still with its medieval central gutter, there really is nothing as handy as a scooter, and somehow in Italy the modern sits so comfortably with the historic.
Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Jove fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another. / / And which of the gods was it that set them on to quarrel? It was the son of Jove and Leto; for he was angry with the king and sent a pestilence upon the host to plague the people, because the son of Atreus had dishonoured Chryses his priest. Now Chryses had come to the ships of the Achaeans to free his daughter, and had brought with him a great ransom: moreover he bore in his hand the sceptre of Apollo wreathed with a suppliant’s wreath and he besought the Achaeans, but most of all the two sons of Atreus, who were their chiefs. / / “Sons of Atreus,” he cried, “and all other Achaeans, may the gods who dwell in Olympus grant you to sack the city of Priam, and to reach your homes in safety; but free my daughter, and accept a ransom for her, in reverence to Apollo, son of Jove.” / The beginning of The Iliad by Homer / / When this creation started to take shape I saw a 21st Century take on the Archaean (ancient Greek) soldiers heading off to battle in a famous ‘phallanx’ line of foot soldiers, with their shields up making no gaps for arrows to penetrate, they would walk on for as long as it took like that. / / Sailing to Troy according to Homer and bringing their historic fighting to life we have been fascinated by the myth ever since…bringing the vision of the ancient painted pottery images of Greek soldiers with their muscular leg shapes and their round shields held in a pattern of beauty into the 21st century via an abstract Incendia fractal creation.
