Over 8000 people from all over the world turned up to witness the eclipse just near sunset.. with a totality of 27 seconds. The festival went for 5 days with non stop Psytrance music on several stages.. I also trekked to Turkey in 2006 to attend my 2nd total eclipse experience – i hope to experience four if im able (2009 India/Nepal and 2012 Australia). Its an experience everyone should witness .. People ive met at these festivals have become long life connections… this picture has a little story here in my journal

  • 1840 v2.0 / With the original versions of these pictures I was not able to use all the shots because they where damaged. But now, four years later, and with Photo Shop CS3, I’m able to rescue some really great pictures and show them now with pride. / This series was done in the middle of the woods, around the middle of Dec, 2002. It was freezing! The hot chocolate helped though. Most of these pictures are with Theak & Alex standing together, this was not a direction, and they were doing this out of a need for warmth! Half of these pictures were taken using a Nikon F, or F2 I believe, (no markings on the camera), and the other half with a Canon G3 digital camera. / Great makeup job by Rhiana, and of course, the whole look and feel of this shoot would not have been possible if not for the styling of Elisa. / Photo by Jef Harris / http://www.jefharris.net

  • My childhood was taken up with many drives in the country for picnics and walks, when I was very little my parents use to drive me and my two sisters up to Camberville for the day. We would run around after the wild domesticated geese that grazed the meadow where a village use to be for the timber milling town before the 1970’s fire that raged through the area and burnt down the houses. One of my favorite buildings that is nearly in pieces is the old school house. An old lady lives in one of the houses still and is suppose to be the only resident left up at Camberville, she is the orignal teacher that taugth the childern in the old school house.. Bar the meadow and a couple of houses that are lived in, the whole area is surrounded by the Yarra rangers National Park. My last visit to the old school house, the weather was freezing, winter was setting in and I looked at the old wall of the school house and I know there isnt much time before it collaspes into the pile of wood from the rest of the building. Camberville sits in Cumberland reserve just down the road from Lake Mountain. It is in the snow line. Camberville was also affected by Black Saturday as well as fires in the 1970’s which wiped out most of the small timber village. There are two houses still standing with people living in there. I hope they got out before the fires reached them. After Black Saturday The two houses are still standing, same with the school house wall, saint hubberts a shell of one of the orignal house has been burnt to the ground along with its garden. Camberville, Yarra Rangers National Park, Cumberland Reserve, Victoria, Australia

  • Here my friend Ali has just woken from a snooze whilst we awaited an Easyjet flight to Mallorca. We had flown in that Saturday from Dublin with Ryanair, I missing my passport flew on my driving license after asking Ryanair if I could fly Dublin to Luton to Palma on my license as other Europeans could fly on their national identity cards. They said, sure. Turned out you couldn’t. Ali flew onto a party in Palma that night whilst I stayed in a Luton B&B run by a man who could & would fart for up to 30 or 40 seconds at a time. I made it to Palma the following Tuesday after returning to Ireland to get an emergency passport.

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Abt Railway The Mt Lyell railway ran from Queenstown to Regatta Point and was the property of the Mt Lyell Mining Company, The first section of the line from Teepookana on the King River to Queenstown was opened at the end of 1896, and in 1899 the line was extended to Regatta Point. / The line was closed in 1963 due to transport costs and maintenance, the cost of construction of this line was given at 216,000 pounds. / In 1994 the Abt Railway Society was formed by Queenstown residents and local business people who shared a vision to once more see this little train travel the 1 in 16 grade from Halls Creek to Rinadeena and from Dubbil Barril to Rinadeena on the 1 in 20 grade. / The society produced feasibility studies and worked tirelessly to bring the railway to the attention of the State and Federal Governments. So in 1999 the Federal Government announced that it would give a grant of $20.4m to rebuild the Abt Railway all the way to Regatta Point. / Operation commenced in 2002 as the Abt Wilderness Railway. / Today it is known as the West Coast Wilderness Railway. • Kreddible Trout was born of equal parts anonymity and chickenshittedness moments before his first poetry reading on May 3rd 2000 in Montreal. That’s right, Kreddible Trout was a poet. Born of words he grew tired of ‘the scene’ as he discovered that even in the murky depths of the art world known as ‘spoken word’ it had too many pretenses. / Though beginning in Montreal, Cafe Montmartre on Main Street in Vancouver was where KT flourished. Along with many others at an event that was called Thundering Word Heard he found his voice with the encouragement of a brilliant ol huckster & wordsmith named T-Paul Ste Marie (white cowboy hat – R.I.P. T-Paul) who ran the show. Cafe Montmartre on Sunday night was one of the most vibrant, important venues in the early days of the Millennium. Anywhere. Poets to odd musicians to sideshow-freaks to tap dancers and well beyond. The meekest loose leaf emo-poets to the bold old pricks like me. / This place was a gem. Still is I assume, if it’s still there. Stop by, Courtney and Ali make a mean crepe (if there is such a thing) The shot was taken as I was spending the last of a 400 roll to load up some 800 to shoot some of the spectacle inside. Pentax K1000 / 50mm / C-41 / Main Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, 2002
