Tank Man, or the Unknown Rebel, is the nickname of an anonymous man who became internationally famous when he was videotaped and photographed during the Tiananmen Square protests on 5 June 1989. TIME included the “Unknown Rebel” in its 100 most influential people of the 20th century. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this shocking yet iconic image.
This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / sold: 2 mounted prints (RB artists) / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /

In Berlin, in 1996 on the east side of the former Wall we came across this small East German bear who had fallen foul of reunification and wanted a way out. We managed to talk him out of it and we all had a huge pile of lemonade, which we laced with hefeweissen beer. Teddy, as he was called, was in such a good mood afterwards vowed to never, ever, have such dark thoughts again. He said, “Weil ich haben andreren zeit diesen sturmtraümen ich will viel bier getranken und den alles willst gut bin”. With that he fell asleep. A great humorous card for those that are changing jobs, moving house or making any changes whatsoever in their lives. Show your empathy and get them the Teddy Bear Suicide card!

It is a narrow view because of rubbish around the site. There were lots of these in this area, but few of them as perfect as this one. Identified thanks to Simon Yvette. Taken with Pentax LX camera F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome 200
I do not know what these are. I tried hard to keep detail in the white of the flowers as it was there in the original flowers. They would have looked more spectacular brighter but this would have killed the detail. Taken with Pentax LX camera F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome 200
Many years ago the Victorian government built railways into the country providing transport in areas where the roads were nominal only. This line had some very rough terrain to master and they built wooden viaducts across many steep creeks. This one is not far from the highest point on this line. Unfortunately the line is now closed.
He was roaming around on a picnic area. He knew I was taking his picture, but I do not know whether he was smiling. Taken with Pentax camera using Pentax F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome 200
We were going through to Canberra along some back roads, and came across this beside the road. Taken with Pentax camera using Pentax F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome 200

This was a great day. We got lots of flowers, but as usual I do not know what they are except they are Australian Natives. Taken with Pentax LX camera and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome film.
Don’t know what it is but I liked it. It was on the way out of the Victoria Valley to return to Halls Gap. Last shot for the day. Taken with Pentax LX camera using Pentax F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome

The Squatters Arms was established as an inn in 1841 on the road to Cooma, which has now become the Monaro Highway. It was a Cobb and Co changing post for the coaches running this route. It has now dropped its liquor license. It was accepted into the Heritage listing for NSW in 1999. Taken with Pentax camera and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome film.
It took years to complete, but was worth the effort. Taken with Pentax LX camera and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome 200 film.
