Crazy 80’s style fluro cells , Inspired by the current trends sweeping the world
Eat the chips / Put the chip packet in the oven / Stab a hole and stick a keyring chain through it! I drew this series for Yen Magazine who were doing a story on Shrinky-Dinks and how they were cool in the 80’s….then they scraped the story so my illustrations never made it in! So 80’s! You can view the detailed final keyring here

thought I’d join the red bubble babyface fun. My Dad was into photography when I was a young girl (which is where I think I inherited my passion for photography). He had a lovely Canon 35mm SLR and used to process his own shots in his own darkroom. (trying to save up to get him a second hand digital SLR so he can get back into his passion… Also so we can do it together) This shot is of the four of us … my siblings. It’s in order of oldest to youngest. Front is Adam, Second Sam, then me Pip and then little Luke. All the photographs my Dad took of us are so very very precious to me (most of them are enlarged and hanging on my walls). I’m hoping that my son Kane will find the photo’s I’m taking of him just as precious when he’s older. WINNER of the Family Funtime Challenge / .

Stephanie Mountzouris / Adelaide, 4:16am I know I know, I haven’t put anything up in a VERY long time. It’s called having deadlines. / But I wanted to post this because this year has been very much about me doing work for everyone else and next to nothing for myself, and this night was a blessed break from the pressure. A night of youthful frivolity and voyeuristic tendancies, photographic jam sessions and too much champagne, 80s glam rock and 90s supermodels, a love of Terry Richardson, Agyness Deyn, that bitchin Fiona Apple video clip and all things trashy and decadent. Debbie Harry would be proud. / It’s liberating to do something other than broken dolls, fairytales and goddamn alice in wonderland once in a while. I’m over it. This was real. Fun. Free. I’m in a bit of a TTV mood this week. Must be feeling nostalgic with the year about to end… A few days ago, someone asked “what did we do without mobile phones?”. This sparked a long discussion about what we did without all the technology of today. I think it’s funny that we used to just turn up to meet people at a certain place, and just wait till they arrived, late or not. Somehow it always worked, no one got left behind, and everyone always showed up! / / What did we do before the digital age? We managed, whatever it was we did. I used to love creating my mix tapes of the radios nightly top 20, or taping video clips on a Saturday morning. I do love how far we have come technologically, the progress we have made in the last 20 years is astounding. I’m in no way anti progression. It’s healthy and good, but it’s what we leave behind sometimes that I miss. Long live the walkman! :) / / These two viewfinder shots have been combined, layered once, desaturation of one layer, added blue filter, decreased brightness. / / For instructions and information on how I created this shot, see here / / Canon 50D 18 – 55, 58mm + Macro Filter / record: f10, 1/250, ISO 3200 / tape: f3.5, 1/30, ISO 500 / Ansco Rediflex Viewfinder / Home Made Darkbox / / Edited 12am / / MCN:CFJR3-VARDV-Q3Y5W / / / / / / /
