  • A vintage photo I restored of my Dad’s two Siamese who were unfortunately run over whilst visiting their namesakes, my grandparents.

  • John Simon Ritchie, better known as Sid Vicious, was an English punk rock musician, the bass player of the Sex Pistols and solo singer. Punk rock is an anti-establishment rock music genre and movement that emerged in the mid-1970s. Groups such as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash were recognized as the vanguard of a new musical movement. By 1977, punk was spreading around the world.

  • God Save The Queen was originally called No Future. The band played it live and recorded a demo version with that title, but changed it when lead singer Johnny Rotten got the idea to mock the British monarchy. This became an anthem for the Punk movement in England. It expressed the anger young people felt toward the establishment. God save the queen / The fascist regime / They made you a moron / Potential H-bomb God save the queen / She ain’t no human being / There is no future / In England’s dreaming Don’t be told what you want / Don’t be told what you need / There’s no future, no future, / No future for you God save the queen / We mean it man / We love our queen / God saves God save the queen / ‘Cause tourists are money / And our figurehead / Is not what she seems Oh God save history / God save your mad parade / Oh Lord God have mercy / All crimes are paid When there’s no future / How can there be sin / We’re the flowers in the dustbin / We’re the poison in your human machine / We’re the future, your future God save the queen / We mean it man / We love our queen / God saves God save the queen / We mean it man / And there is no future / In England’s dreaming No future, no future, / No future for you / No future, no future, / No future for me No future, no future, / No future for you / No future, no future / For you

  • This was my first darkroom (my dad’s really…), over 30 years ago, when photography first spoke to me. I was 13 then. I was mixing my own chemicals then (I still remember some of the formulas!), and would buy every expired (read cheap) box of paper I could get my hands onto, when I had a bit of spare pocket money. Ilford and Agfa were a luxury, Efke and Forte and other strange brands that have since disappeared were the order of the day. B&W film came in rolls of 5, 10 or 30 meters and I knew that, in the darkness, fingertip to shoulder would give me about 24 shots and fingertip to fingertip about 36… It’s seems such a long time ago and yet so so relevant, it taught me all the basics of photography and made me fall in love with it. Very much like digital, you could try changing the exposure, change the aperture, see the results instantly. Throw it away and start again… The magic of an image appearing on a white paper, in front of your very eyes. It was like digital or Polaroid, but much more personal and more involved. I haven’t been in a darkroom for many years. Too many memories… A lost trade? It is for me. Like a long lost teenage infatuation, that I will always remember fondly… :-) [Scanned from 35mm slide @2700dpi]

  • I couldn’t resist the bright warm winter day last Saturday.. The thoughts of summer dancing in my head… Firing her up required a boost… But, it was worth it…a quick 2 hour run made a few heads turn….

  • Big thanks to my wonderful models Lisa and Jo who persevered with raging winds hitch hiking for the camera. And I so love the Ramones series

  • what I’d give to have one of these bad boys today, perfect for crusin the strip!

  • This was a landmark, rock arch which the brave people used to walk across out to the peninsular. One day a couple walked across, and where astounded and then frightened at the roar of collapsing rock behind them. They were now on an island. People on the bank which had not started across, immediately high tailed it to get help. A helicopter arrived and removed the people from the new island.

  • The Ramones – Sheena Is A Punk Rocker (original cover)

  • Debbie Harry – Blondie (I’m Always Touched By Your) Presence, Dear

  • The Members : Sound of the Suburbs

  • I went to BookFest at Southport Parklands and picked up some wild old books! These maps were inside a couple of 1977 guide books of Venice and Rome…almost as good as going there…mmm, maybe not:) as is, from my Panasonic Lumix, on Macro setting with sepia setting too! /

  • Taken in Sutton, Ontario, Canada.. /

  • This photograph was taken with film in front of Sacre Coeur in 1977. I decided to try some of my new-found texture effect under some old scanned slides. After doing this in black and white, I turned it to sepia.

  • I went back to some old photographs that I took while on our first trip to Paris in 1977. These were originally taken with slide film and later scanned. I was curious to see what my new-found texture layering effect would have on them.

  • Built by King Louis XIV, the Sun King, the fountains of Latona and Apollo occupy the place of honor in the gardens of Versailles. Apollo, god of the sun, symbol of Louis XIV, is shown in his chariot, being drawn from the depths of the sea by his four chargers, that he may illuminate the heavens. Since the fountain requires more than a million gallons of water an hour, today it is turned on only infrequently. We were fortunate to hit one of the special days.

  • In late spring we camped on the edge of the Howqua river down from its source in the mountains. It was a fabulous place and we had a great time. There was only one problem we had very bad frosts and the canopy of our tent froze every night. The stream beside us looked lovely as the sun started to come through. Camera not remembered, film Kodachrome.
