  • This is a photo taken of my father (the shorter blond boy) and his older brother Sam on the orchard their family lived on in the 1950’s. I don’t know who took the photo, and there was no date, but guessing from the ages it is about 1951-52. / The original photo was pretty badly damaged, with tears and scratches, including one over the taller child’s face. / I removed the scratches and added a bit of color to enhance the photo. / It is the only photo I have of my father as a child.

  • just an old telephone lying around the house. Taken with my Canon Rebel XTi/18-55mm lens. Edited in Photoshop CS4dial telephone [x]

  • Taken with Canon 1000d with standard 18-55 lens. This is part of a series of shots taken at a local scrap yard, where some lovely old classic vehicles are rusting away. Most have been well used and have donated several parts to other vehicles. There is something about the age of these vehicles that adds more character to them, and – in my opinion – makes them more photogenic than brand new shiny showroom cars. You can see them all on my bubblesite, in the Classic Cars album.

  • Graphite and fine liner on cartridge paper, Adobe Photoshop manipulation (2009) There is a side to me that I felt my art needed to reflect, so I felt that a change in my concept was neccessary. As I had browsed through my past works, I was in disbelief that, being a very political person, my art did not have even the slightest fraction of political connotation. Although I have not completely steered away from my current concepts, I believe that my work needed a stronger and darker meaning.
