The remains of a 1939 Chevrolet or GMC (I believe) logging truck. The bed was probably removed to be used on another truck. The image has been processed to enhance the lighting and colors on this abandoned old vehicle, projecting a nostalgic aura of times gone by. This would be a wonderful and beautiful conversation piece for any den.
Samoyedes are partly nomadic, partly settled agricultural tribes found in North Siberia and the Taimyr Peninsula, especially in the basin of the Ob and Yenisei rivers. Traditionally they hunted reindeer and held shamans in high repute. Taken from my grandmother’s photographic collection, enhanced using photo shop elements.
1939 Garwood runabout docked at its boathouse on the Torch River, just off Torch Lake in Northern Michigan. National Geographic once rated Torch Lake the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world. Standard power in these boats was a Chrysler inboard marine. This one had the Garwood/Gray racing engine. It was beautifully restored and has been in the same family since new. The boathouse was custom built to house the boat.
Another awesome car from the Cars in the Park 1st Annual Benefit 2008 that benefited our Ellis County Special Olympics in Waxahachie, TX Getzendaner Park. Photo taken 6/28/08. I am somewhat guessing on the year of this red Mercury. If I’m wrong, feel free to let me know so I can change it. Also, it was a bit bright outside on Saturday, the car was half in the shade and half in the bright sun. I had a hard time with this one as I only took two shots. Their were some hot spots that look orangy, the sun caused this as well.

There are so many models to choose from it’s tough to make a decision, how about one of each for a total of $355.00! It’s amazing how many choices we face today as compared to Kodak’s offering of models in 1939. You could get seven of their best models for the price of one decent model these days☺
