Charcoal drawing and Apophysis overlays No room for form On the night when you cross the street / from your shop and your house / to the cemetary, you’ll hear me hailing you from inside / the open grave, and you’ll realize / how we’ve always been together. I am the clear consciousness-core / of your being, the same in / ecstasy as in self hating fatigue. That night, when you escape the fear of snakebite / and all irritation with the ants, you’ll hear / my familiar voice, see the candle being lit, smell the incense, the surprise meal fixed / by the lover inside all your other lovers. This heart tumult is my signal / to you igniting in the tomb. So don’t fuss with the shroud / and the graveyard road dust. Those get ripped open and washed away / in the music of our finally meeting. And don’t look for me in a human shape. / I am inside your looking. No / room for form with love this strong. Rumi

Collage with apophysis overlays The way of love is not / a subtle argument. The door there / is devastation. Birds make great sky-circles / of their freedom. / How do they learn it? They fall, and falling / they’re given wings. Rumi

This shot was taken at Dawn from the building I work in it shows the Spire of St Francis Xavier Church at Lavender Bay in the North Sydney CBD. The Sydney Harbour Bridge links the North Sydney CBD with the Sydney CBD. There has been a church on the site since the early days of the settlement of the colony of Sydney Town. The shot was taken using a Nikon D300, Nikon 18 – 200mm lens , for any Nikononians the 18-200mm lens is wonderful it comes in handy as a all purose lens. The shot was created from 4 exposures and processed with Photomatix HDR software. So continues my exploration of HDR.. its fun

Title: White Flower #14 Photographer: Robin Collins, FourCrowsArt I’ve always loved the look of a white flower on a toned print. Over the years I’ve shot hundreds. These are my latest. Using the technique “through the viewfinder” this image came through not one but two cameras to become the piece you see.
many thanks to Adrian for his help with lighting and moving boxes out of the way so my head didn’t get caught between them and the viewfinder entire bathtub portraiture series

This collection of Urban Landscapes is drawn from a larger body of work called Darkscapes. They are moody evocative invitations into mystery and imagination taken from the ordinary things that make up the fabric of city life. Beauty is all around us if only we take the time to notice it. We all look but maybe we don’t all see. This collection of images is a way for me to share what I see with others / This striking Deco building is close to Hyde Park. There are not very many like it left and I am very taken with its graceful lines. / . /

This is my Philippians 3:14 shot with some stunning work by Scott Denny. Thanks Scott, I really appreciate the work!
The Visual Opus in Abstract series is my new collection. They represent a new way of painting for me. They are all large pieces and I am enjoying the free-flowing style of painting. It’s difficult to do on a computer, but when standing in front of one, it is easy to get lost in the painting. So much fun. :)

I today stumbled upon the location of a shot taken by an excellent local photographer….. Stuart Chapman / This shows just how much i get about, I always thought Stuarts shot here was somehow edited, I now know different. They have since built a large breakwater to stop the shingle being washed away by the English Channel. As Stuart did his in B&W in the morning, I thought I’d do a colour version as it was taken in the evening. I also didn’t have my tripod, so i rested my camera on the rock on the lower right side of Stuart’s shot Camera EOS 400D / F-stop f/11 / Exposure time 17 sec. / ISO speed ISO 100
