I’m nearly frightened to put this on Redbubble, as there seem to be so many people in the world with a snake phobia and I have already been scolded three times by friends for drawing snakes … I’ve never held a snake, but if anyone near me would like to rectify that, let me know – no poisonous ones though :) I’ve had a rat walk over my neck, but it’s not quite the same is it :)

Within each of the four elements are nature spirits that are the spiritual essence of that element. They are made up of etheric substance that is unique and specific to their particular element. They are living entities oftentimes resembling humans in shape but inhabiting a world of their own. They have the power to change their size and appearance almost at will. This is from a larger work called ‘Forbidden Fruit’ comprising 25 groups of 5 images. This is the first image of group 25. The creative process begins with felt tip pen drawings on graph paper. These are then scanned into photoshop and digitally manipulated to create the effect of photographed installations. Whilst the content is clearly non-figurative and geometrically derived there is a genuine message to the work. I am either exposing to conscious inspection the archtypical patterns underlying ‘the meaning of life, the universe and everything’ or I’m “completely off my head”. In the final analysis it’s just a work of art.
