Title: White Flower #11 Photographer: Robin Collins I’ve always loved the look of a white flower on a toned print. Over the years I’ve shot hundreds. These are my latest. Using the technique “through the viewfinder” this image came through not one but two cameras to become the piece you see.

The old ruins of the original Owen Springs Homestead have stood here since 1873 and was one of the first permanent structures built outside of the Alice Springs Telegraph Station itself built in 1871. This is a Photshop Illustration inspired by all the 9/11 responders and their families. Many 9/11 responders are still dying, due to the damaging affects of the fallout from the explosion and debris. Many have lost their jobs due to disabilities and are not recieving proper health care, due to the loss of their jobs which allowed for health benefits. The photo used is titled Ground Zero_Public Domain. Perhaps this will be a reminder to the public and it’s government just how much needs to be done still. These are brave souls who risked everything and are being hidden away still today by our government. I intend to do all healing paintings for individual people using this ephemeral technique. I have been thinking about the best way to do this and also how to convey what Spirit wishes to make known to each individual. The contents of the Ephemeral Painting are really for the individual to decipher, however I can assist should the need arise. From now on all painting will be numbered. / The message in this work is that you need to examine the evidence more closely. You may be feeling a little disappointed recently and not sleeping very well but this will change. Examine your routine a little more closely and release old patterns that no longer serve you. There is magic in this painting and Spirit is confirming something to you….In healing others, you heal yourself. Mate, this moonwalk craze is spreading everywhere! A real-life NASA astronaut on a suburban street in Caulfield, Melbourne? Could it be Neil Armstrong? Could it be Buzz Aldrin? No – it’s just a fibreglass figure on the footpath outside a well-known sports memorabilia shop. I took this image four years ago, with a little Pentax Option LF33 – with the shopowner’s permission. I took a few close-ups of the astronaut that showed some great reflections in the glass visor. Then, as I was about to walk away, a tram turned the corner so I shot this instinctively. Why? Because it’s such an incongruous image – who would ever expect to see the figure of a NASA astronaut in moon gear alongside a Melbourne tram? After this shot, I walked away – because all astronauts need their, er, space! I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images. I’ve decided to post this shot as my tribute to the Apollo 11 lunar mission that took place exactly 40 years ago. Featured in SPEAKING PHOTOS, August 2009. Featured in ALPHABET SOUP, August 2009.
