  • This is a shot of the length of Princes Street during the Hogmanay street party. I really liked the lasers that were shot out from each end of the street and met in the middle. I am told that these were the same lights used by The Chemical Brothers at this year’s T in the Park. Like many of my other photos, this was a complete accident. The crowd around me were going crazy (understandable, as it was less than 20 minutes after Hogmanay) so I was finding it very hard to get a shot that wasn’t completely blurred. However, I like this one because the crowd are moving below the sharp surroundings. At the moment this (in my opinion) is my finest piece of work.

  • Taken on Bungays main back street next to the post office Simon and I had visited 5 artists studios to view their paintings and gardens and as it was past midday I was in need of refreshments, so head to local cafe for a bacon buttie and mug of tea. As we walked we came upon this wonderful telephone box and as I have developed a love and passion for finding them and then photographing them I could not resist a image. I liked the redness of the bricks next to it and the old worn seat to sit on whilst waiting for your turn to call. Nikon D90 with Nikor 18-105vr lens Focal length 22mm / F/.8 / Exposure 1/400 and -0.3 step / ISO 200 Hand held * Aperture piority and manual focus / I have processed this in Nikon efex pro 3, in Tonal contrast to match *my other image of 2 red telephone boxes

  • A Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress Propeller taken at Duxford Air Museum om 29.7.09 I just loved the planes sitting out on the tarmac, the size of them is wonderful and how they ever managed to take off i will never know, and the materials that they were made of compared to what they make modern planes of today. I just did not know where to start photographing. Nikon D90 camera and nikor 18-105vr lens / Focal length 38mm / F/. 5.6 / Exposure 1/250 / ISO 400 Hand held aperture piority and manual focus Processed in Nikon Efex Pro 3 using Tonal contrast to give more texture but nothing else changed.

  • Taken at Dunwich Heath Suffolk 24.5.09, looking across the pond at my favourite place to sit. just in time for my packed lunch This is the wonderful view you get as you sit and swing your legs as you sit on the bench, okay i swing my legs as they are a bit short. The peace and tranquil setting always fills me with peace, calm and makes any stress that has built up within me just disappear. ikon D90 with Nikor 18-105vr lens / focal length 25mm / F/, 8 / Exposure 1/500 and -1.3 step / ISO 200 / Hand held / Processed in Efex Pro 3, but cannot rememebr exactly what may be tonal and slight glamour glow, sat in file a while. These images belong to this series of my favourite area on Dunwich heath, this is the image of the bench i sit on to look across the pond and hope you can see why i love it here

  • Model – Leah / Camera – Canon EOS 5D Leah was also the mysterious model in this picture. which made the home page!

  • Acrylic/Oil on Canvas I haven’t put the size on this because one of the things this work is experimenting with is perceptions of scale – I’d be really interested to know how big you think it is! detail /

  • Model – Lauren D / 08/28/09

  • Taken at Nationial Waterways Museum At Ellesmere Port Cheshire UK on 13.8.09 Simon, I and Grace had spent the morning wandering round this fantastic Museum full of old canal boats in different states of repair, and decay. Well worth a visit not only for the photo oppurtunities but interesting history of the working canals and life aboard them. Featured in The fine Art of Peeling Paint Sept 2009 Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-105vr lens Focal length 24, / F/. 7.1 / Exposure 1/200 sec / ISO 200 Hand held, Grey and over cast sky. / Processed with Nikon Efex Pro 3 using Tonal Contrast to bring out the textures.

  • Hand carved stone work of Ely Cathedral by main entrance This beautiful carved stonework, greeted Simon and I as we came upto the main entrance of Ely catherdral. We had been hoping to visit this building for a year or 2 and we were not disappointed. / As I walked through the heavey carved iron clad door and took my first steps into it’s sanctuary and looked ahead of me “OHHHHHH” escaped from my lips. I have not often been overwhelmed by the size or beauty of many places but this was beyond anythig I would of been able to imagine. If you ever get a chance to visit please do, the tour to the Octagan Tower is wonderful if a bit steep and I was glad I was small for a door way or 2. The feeling of walking round looking at the most beautiful stained glass windows and so many of them was wonderious. As the time moved on in the day the feeling and atmosphere and light changed. I would advise you take a tripod, something Simon and I will both do next time for that extra small cost of having it with you,and using it within the Cathedral it will be worth your while. Nikon D90 and Nikpr 18-105vr lens Focal length 38mm / F/.4.5 / Exposure 1/400 sec and -1step. / ISO 400 Hand held and Aperture Priority, image tweaked in levels slightly in Photoshop CS2 and then small change in Redynamix HDR 1 image software programme.

  • I have experienced some spectacular sunrises since moving to southern Arizona, but this one takes the cake. I walked out to pick up the paper and saw this sunrise and ran back for my camera. Fifteen minutes later the sky was gray. This photograph is straight out of the camera. No sunset scene used. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.

  • A beautiful sunset in Aruba Taken on 12/02/09

  • Close up of pillar of the Pier at Southwold, UK Oct 09 This is a close up shot of part of the pillar that holds Southwold pier up. The years of salt water and wind had created this wonderful colour on the metal legs. Best viewed large Nikon D90 & 18-105 Vr Lens / Focal length105mm / F/.5.6 / Exposure 1/400 / ISO 200 Hand held, processed in Nikon efex pro 3 in tonal contrast to lift the texture just slightly

  • Taken in my back garden saturday19th Dec 09 Another day on more snow and hard sharp frost greeted me, so I decided to have a look round my garden as I was not going to get far on foot or car today. This frozen water droplet was hanging on my maple and I liked the early moring light just coming up and giving a subtle tone to the morning. Nikon D90 and 18-105vr lens focal length 105mm / F/. 5.6 / Exposure 1/40th sec / ISO 200 hand held, aperture priority, slight level tweak in photoshop CS2
