A small group of Redbubblers went to the Adelaide zoo today (10am – 5pm). Of the many photographs I shot today, this is my personal top favourite. It’s both typical of my style and just a little different because it’s an animal. Last Sunday a small group of Adelaide Redbubblers spent a day at the Adelaide Zoo . Even though much of the Zoo is under major reconstruction, there is still many animals available to view and photograph. Although only a small group of five photographers, we clicked quickly and easily upon meeting. Search on this tag 050409adezoo to see all the articles, artists and photographs together. Below are the individual artists and an appetiser of what to expect… Bill O’Neil might have coordinated the day, but he freely admitted that the women held all the power. At least for a day at the Adelaide zoo. Marion Cullen has an amusing story that includes photographs of each of us with our camera’s to our faces. Be careful, one of the last photographs is neither pretty nor nice-smelling, yet was of great amusement at the time! Andy/MsFluffy provided endless humor and entertainment, some of which I had no comprehension … There was a few inside jokes. (But then I found this shirt .) Brenda kept us all inline, leading us toward each animal and ensured we kept to schedule. I do apologise for somehow loosing you toward the end of day; We separated at the Lizard cage! We searched for Brenda at the Sea Lion balcony, the children’s zoo (which seriously needs an overhaul!), back past the Monkey area and back to the front gates, but were forced to leave the Adelaide Zoo at 5.00pm. And me, Stephen Mitchell, the guy that probably helped a few other artists find a few decent shots and then have to delete them after making the photographer shake with laughter! I had a bad case of lens envy throughout the day, yet kept up with with my short lens. Wait, that doesn’t sound good when you say it aloud!! Enjoy the view . We enjoyed the day.
