I love meerekat’s and this one is soooo cute, taken at Marwell Zoo.
When I went to visit my friend a few weeks ago she took me to the local nature trail and forest. Everybody puts out seed for the birds and then sit back and wait… there were so many birds and squirrels that came to feed and even some doremice?. Forgot I had these photos.
Beautiful fractal art with vibrant and vivid psychedelic color.
I snapped this cute squirrel watching me very carefully as I edged closer.
This squirrel decided to get inside a ceramic bird feeder, it looked very funny with it’s tail sticking out the other hole. See my other squirrel image / Watching
Swallows swooping and diving near the beach.
This squirrel was enjoying the sunflower seeds that we sprinkled on the ground. Camera Used:Canon Powershot S5 IS Techs / Aperture: F4 / Exposure Time: 1/1000 / Flash: No / Focal Length: 67.4mm / ISO: 100 / Shutterspeed: 1/1002
...no more, no less.
Trying a new way to process my images, which in themselves might not be that interesting, but when put together in a six-typch they take on a different look. Melbourne General Cemetary
1. baby shoes off my christening cake / 2. selection of wooden boxes I bought in Egypt and Morocco / 3. vintage jacket bought for $25 about 20 years ago – mum gave it to me for my birthday (18th I think). It is velvet, linked in silk, with weights holding the sides straight and a diamente buckle at the front. / 4. Chinese tea pot, bought in a Shanghai tea house / 5. contents of a box of little things I had stashed away and found again / 6. deer horn, found in a forest in France while hunting for mushrooms. The amazing thing is that it was a dark forest, floor covered in pine needles, and we were looking for a dark mushroom (boletus) and I found this little horn. I knew it had to come home with me.
I took this last month at Emsworth MillPond, Hampshire. / I was sat on the bench feeding the swans and ducks when all of a sudden this little face popped up over the edge of the paving slabs…..it rushed forward grabbed a crumb and dashed off swimming like fury, so I guess it’s a water rat….... rather cute actually.
Coming in to land…

Yesterday was a bank holiday in the UK and it was pouring with rain and the wind was blowing when we woke up, so being British it didn’t deter us so I made the sandwiches and flasks of drink as planned and we drove to the seafront and parked in one of the many many empty spaces and went to Cumberland House and the butterfly section. After a couple of hours there we drove to the Portsmouth Blue Reef Aquarium. By now the rain had stopped and the sky was beginning to clear although the wind was still blowing. Inside the Blue reef we just made it for the Otter feeding. One of the Otters half ate his crayfish and decided he wanted another one, so he went over to the keeper and tugged on his trousers, the keeper told him to finsh the other one first and I snapped as he looked at the keeper. The look reminded me of Oliver Twist asking for more porridge LOL.
Catherington is where I have been going lately to take photos at the Pond and more recent in the cemetry. There were lots of wild rabbits there today, I managed to get up close and lay on the grass to take some shots. *Have you seen this other cutie too
Taken at Catherington, another cute wild rabbit. Taken with a Canon Powershot SX5 IS How about this other cutie too
This is Sandy squirrel, this time she collected her nut and the then sat on the fence as she ate it. I noticed that she has buried some nuts in my sister’s hanging baskets LOL and they are beginning to sprout leaves.
I took this last week at Havant Thicket, we had our first real amount of snow in 18 years. This would make a great card, you can even have the wording of your choice. Card 3 / / or maybe / Card 4 / these are just a couple of examples
