However what legacy is left with me is his dramatic lighting and film sets, which gave introduce the monochrome’s twin towers ~ light and shade, and shape and form in combination and fusion for intensity and impact, something which is not lost on my own work. I was having a spot of lunch and my Nikon F100 was sat on the table. I saw this fantastic red truck ~ a cement mixer ~ grabbed my camera and managed to shoot one exposure before it moved off. With its picturesque villages, rare wildlife and breathtaking views of the Mourne mountains, the lough is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a hugely popular attraction for visitors from all over the world. This was a village coal quay with tiny lock up coal stores where coal men and their horses pulled up each day and loaded up the coal. The coal had come in by ships. It was a part of history. The whole area was demolished and developed as apartments and houses ~ what a shame Kodak negative scanned via Nikon CoolScan !

As we have already noticed, Redbubble dont speak the same lingo, as in, it doesnt use HTML or CSS etc, which means; we cannot use a lot of the widgets, scripts and all dem goodies out there in here. Which is ok, but sometimes i found that i wanted to promote about my other sites/projects here in my profile.. but couldnt.. till now :) / (well, I figured it out now..prob been able to for ages already..hehe) As you that may have read my previous post, i discovered more of Feedburner goodies recently. In that discovery i found a Widget that can animate your RSS feed – that doesnt use html or scripts, which means we can use it in here! I utilized the RSS Animated widget in two ways : First, i’ve been wanting to bring my journal post entry titles further UP in my profile, but cuz ive got a pretty jam packed profile on the left hand side..it forces the Journal Entries way down to the bottom end, and i dont know if people scroll that far down! LOL! So with animated rss widget from Feedburner (i chose the Email option/display) I can now place (like below for example) in the higher end of my profile, where it will ‘flash’ the most recent post (utilizing my rb journal rss feed), Hopefully giving it more attention.. the second way i used it.. / is to take the half banner size option on white background of the same Animated Widget – with feeds from my two sites, Artdictive and Webgrrl’shop – flashing the most recent posts there.. / WANT TO MAKE A QUICK ANIMATION OF YOUR ART * / for display purposes like the moving images below ? / Go to PICASION where you can Create Animated GIF online for free! Upload your pictures or grab them from Flickr or Picasa Web, make avatars or funny animations and post it to MySpace, LiveJournal, Facebook or Redubble. No need for Flash FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO SEE STATS / At the bottom of my profile you should be able to see LIVE STATS, free service by FEEDJIT . The Castle class of the Great Western Railway were the most successful and efficent passenger express locomotives of any railway in Britain and perhaps the World. There may have been more powerful engines, or faster engines but on a day to day basis a Castle, due to its sound basic design, exacting Swindon engerneering, the Great Western’s high standard of maintenance and the skill of the footplatemen, really did deliver. Here a Castle heads an up express out of the Westcountry to the capital in a scene that could be the 1930s though to the 1950s. I searched the internet for a really long exposure of Tahquamenon Falls but couldn’t find one. So I figured that my first real shot with my new 10 stop filter would be of this amazing falls. This is a blend of 3 long exposure shots. The first one was 4 minutes, the correctly exposed one was 5 minutes and the bright one was 6 minutes. / Black and white to come soon. / Canon xsi / B+W nd 1000 / B+W CPL

Converted the color long exposure to LAB color and used the lightness channel as a base. Added a cooling filter to give it that icy cool. / Canon XSi / B+W nd1000 / B+W CPL
