More images from the coast of South Australia can be seen @ / www.glennalderson.com The story of Second Valley is really the tale of two little towns – the still growing beachside holiday hamlet snuggled out of the wind and, and the old farming settlement up the creek. Second Valley is sleepy these days – the school’s been closed for a half century, the general store’s long gone, but its charm is very evident. Some of its cottages go back to the 1840’s. Nikon D90

Acrylic on 14”x11” canvas board What kinda served at least as an inspiration for this work was the memory of how much the unexpected cost of dry docking a large boat was. I ended up going back to something I could get in and out of the water myself.
This is a beautiful morning view from home in Lowick, the English Lake District, taken in September 2009. Nikon D300 / 18- 50 mm lens / 4 images stiched in Photoshop

They love gather together, stay along with friends around the table eating, drinking and singing their songs At the same way they want to pamper the tourists and let them to feel themselves just like as they are at home… And what is more lovely than eat so close to the sea? Yeah, the table was just set almost…”in” the water….as You can see in the following shot… / SUCH A FANTASTIC PLACE TO HAVE A LUNCH!!!...Do you agree? Do U want to know all about SKIATHOS? since the days of whaling in the early 1800s in victor harbor south australia, many anglers from around the world on holidays, and local fishermen, come to this spot to try their luck.
This photo was taken during high tide 30 minutes after the sun set in mid September My favorite place…Carters Bight, Asharoken, Northport, NY. There were no changes made to this photo.
This is the view from a hill overlooking Trial Harbour. The beach is called Ocean beach and runs for approximately 36 kms. This was the clearest I have seen this view, usually it is covered with spray or rain. Taken with a Panasonic FZ-18 For more beautiful images of Tasmania please visit RT Gallery

Taken August 2009 in St Ives, Cornwall, sheltering in The Lifeboat with a superb pint of HSD as the weather changed like a see saw from sun to dull to squall and back again. The railings outside were framed by the open window, almost becoming one. If you look veeeeery closely, I have kept the abandoned wine bottle to the bottom dark area of the photo…I wonder whose it was…..why was there still a glassfull left…..and, was it any good…..? A seachange is an abandonment of city living in favour of a perceived ‘easier life’ in rural coastal communities.
A similar term, treechange, describes the movement of urbanites to the countryside.
Have you made the seachange or have a place in mind? If so share your images and stories of your new life.
This a place for treechangers and seachangers to meet up, improve their art and generally share with like-minded souls. You can add images that relate to the group’s themes showing where you live and the changes you would like to make.
You can also add nude shots that relate to the themes of the group!
A seachange is a lifestyle change – not a holiday/vacation.
Images of cities or urban areas do not fit into this group.
Images of the sea or coast or trees etc will not fit in unless they suggest a seachange or treechange lifestyle.
Ideally the seachange or treechange lifestyle should be apparent from the image’s narrative but you can add a description as well.
